I dont understand the fear to use younger players in spots. I thought Morin looked damn good in the games he was in, why not move sharp to the Center spot and throw in one of the younger guys.

Well that sucked. When the Hawks turn to goon mode in the last minute of a game, that should tell you somethingl.

The game should of been 2-2 Hawks got screwed bigtime by the refs.

Saturday we got outplayed, badly. Much, much better game than Saturday...this game was pretty even...but still a loss.

Still can't score on the power play (yes we're killing off theirs...doesn't mean you can't find one of your own).

Seabrook has been awful. Torched on the first goal. Get the man OR the puck...gets neither. And for the love of God stop chasing hits below the f***ing circles in the offensive zone.

2nd goal, terrible clearing attempt by Rozsival.

Hit 3 posts + bad call on the disallowed goal.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg are the best players on the ice.

Lot of prime scoring chances tonight...simply couldn't finish. Sharp, Hossa, etc.

Sure they came back to tie it without a bad call, but IMO this game was lost with the first 2 goals, 30 seconds apart, on 2 awful defensive plays.

Correct. I'm about as unbiased as they come on this stuff...that was the wrong call. Problem is, it's a judgment call, not reviewable (but likely should be, there's not really a good reason it can't be, wish they'd change the rule at some point), so it stands. Howard wasn't impeded and there was barely any contact. Also, just to clarify, it doesn't have to be ruled a penalty for it to wave off the goal.

69.1 Interference on the Goalkeeper - This rule is based on the premise that an attacking player’s position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed. In other words, goals scored while attacking players are standing in the crease may, in appropriate circumstances be allowed. Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact. The rule will be enforced exclusively in accordance with the on-ice judgment of the Referee(s), and not by means of video replay or review.

... If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending player so as to cause him to come into contact with the goalkeeper, such contact will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.

Game 4 is a MUST WIN game, and I will miss all of it because of damn softball (crossing fingers for heavy rain).

 

Then Game 5 I will probably miss while sitting passenger seat in my grandmas car coming back from a family event in Michigan. Already missed games 1 and 2 of this series because of work/family things.

What is going on? I thought the Hawks by and far were the most talented team. Suddenly next game is HUGE. A loss and you'd have to think the dream is over.
