Floyd "taking one for the team" that game was essential because they had 6 games coming up against the Rangers and Jays. Can't have the pen in tatters for going into back-to-back series like that.

July 15, 201213 yr Why don't they just hold back Floyd until next weekend in DET? Obviously we can't afford to get swept by the Red Sox, but with Axelrod, Humber, Quintana and TBA as the four guys against Boston...not good. And, while we're at it, please inform Chris Sale...maybe not a great idea to throw a FB to Alcides Escobar, who's quickly becoming the best SS in the AL. Edited July 15, 201213 yr by caulfield12
