Matt Thornton basically can't get lefties out anymore.

 

It's kind of sad actually.

 

We've seen both Marte and Thornton go from the best LH set-up guys in baseball to ... well, whatever Thornton is now.

I have a hard time keeping any faith in Matt Thornton.

I react to seeing Thornton in the game like I use to when Ohman would come in... ready to puke and expecting the worst.

Is there anything wrong with Thornton? He's thrown 12 pitches and only 3 FBs so far. In past years, it would be 10/12 FBs

Yep, you gotta thing these Lefties have seen him a ton since being a left-handed specialize. Especially the M&M boys. I think he is just over used a little bit, but will be absolutely fine.

If the Dodgers don't get Dempster, the White Sox or Rangers will swoop in.

 

The Rangers won't give up Olt or Profar though, that much is crystal clear.

Tex left the NYY with a wrist injury, MRI tomorrow. Injury bug continues to bite the Yanks.
