Probably showing my ignorance but...since Myers was already in a Sox uniform anyway, didn't the Sox have all the leverage? Why would they give up someone of significance? What are the Astros gonna do if they don't like the person being offered, ask for Myers back?

August 4, 201213 yr I like Wise but what is wrong with Danks? He can sure go get the ball Nothing is wrong with Danks. They're pretty similar players. The difference is that Danks might have some future with the Sox and I'd rather see him playing every day in Charlotte and let Wise sit on the bench in Chicago.

Loving KWs moves this year, Wise is going to be a defensive replacement late when he comes up for DV probably and give De Aza a few days off in Sept. as well. Cant complain about signing a guy who plays good D and has some speed. Does anyone know what the contract was? Cant be to expensive being a Minor League contract. And does the finalization of the Meyers deal and this extra little note of Wise and getting Youk and Liriano make KW the GM of the year? I dont think anyone else has made the moves hes made besides maybe the Dodgers GM with Hanley and possibly Lee
