August 27, 201213 yr QUOTE (spiderman @ Aug 27, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) I'm assuming he'll probably miss at least a start though? At least one start. Peavy is taking his start Friday vs. Detroit on two extra days rest. Santiago or Humber will start Wednesday vs. Baltimore
August 28, 201213 yr Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN Gavin Floyd goes on the disabled list as #WhiteSox make room for Dylan Axelrod on active roster.
September 5, 201213 yr Any updates on Gavin? I know he is everyone's favorite whipping boy, but with Q's struggles, the Sox could use all the help they could get in the rotation. Any chance he pitches again this season?
September 5, 201213 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) Any updates on Gavin? I know he is everyone's favorite whipping boy, but with Q's struggles, the Sox could use all the help they could get in the rotation. Any chance he pitches again this season? He pitched a side session a couple of days and had routine soreness. They were going to throw him again soon and decide what to do with him.

They were going to throw him again soon and decide what to do with him. Side session tomorrow. Threw 20 pitches Monday normal discomfort. Not sure if any of that means anything.
September 6, 201213 yr Hard to believe just a few weeks ago that we would basically be begging for Gavin to come back quickly so we could get Quintana the hell out of the rotation.
September 6, 201213 yr Would have been nice if Mully and Hanley talked to Copper this morning on the radio about his instead of rumors that you know he was not going to address, morons. I really wish the SCORE did some producing.
September 6, 201213 yr QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) Would have been nice if Mully and Hanley talked to Copper this morning on the radio about his instead of rumors that you know he was not going to address, morons. I really wish the SCORE did some producing. I listened to the interview on the way to work: I agree that the content was useless -- but I actually blame Coop, who didn't answer a single question that they asked. It was like the Onion section where someone answers reader letters with content that had nothing to do with the letters. They actually asked Coop about the Axelrod/Santiago situation and how they determine who needs rest and how concerned they were about injuries, and he just rambled on about being ina pennant race and taking everything day by day.
