Verlander's short on his fastball so far, but his hook is nasty. Flowers missed those pitches by a good amount (tough welcome back start for him).

That was futile.

Uncharacteristically good play by Fielder at 1B on Alexei.

Must be the national audience inspiring him to pick it up a notch over there.

Has anybody ever seen a curveball or slider on this team?!?

We had such a good start, being patient and making Verlander throw lots of pitches. Now we're back to being 0-2 three seconds after stepping up to the plate.

Chris Sale posing as Freddy Garcia now.

Lets get the fat man out

That's AJ/Flowers/Alexei for you. The guys at the top of the order are just more patient hitters.

ADA got a good jump on that

Only 23 outs to go...

"But look at this swing"

He flew out to CF. Shut up.

A majestic swing.

Im about ready to mute this channel.

Maybe the intentional strategy is never to throw a pitcher over 90 MPH...he can vary the speed on his fastball by 5-7 MPH, but I doubt that's what is actually happening.

Of course that's not the actual strategy. He tried to gas Peralta up and in there and only threw it 90 mph.

Terrible location on that pitch.

Lucky it didn't go out. During the daytime, probably a homer.

Garcia = babe Ruth because he is a Tiger.

There we go Sale

Survived 2 innings with the lead.

At least he seems to be learning how to adapt in this situation...can't imagine where his stuff would be had he pitched 5-6-7 innings against the Orioles. The first time it happened against Texas, everyone (especially Harrelson) was shocked and concerned.

Good location on that fastball to Garcia. Come on Hudson, do it for jake!

Hudson is either going to do something really good or look completely overmatched. Im going for the latter.
