Did I miss something? Is Al Qaeda really tied to this?

if you did then so did I, and I'd like the thread writer to fill in blank?

Wait, Al Qaeda?

I heard Karen Lewis did it.

I'm late reading the news this morning but was probably about 10 minutes away from bumping the old Libya thread with it.

Who is Karen Lewis?

I haven't heard anything linking this to AQ. Everything I've heard has said it was reactions to some dumb movie someone in the US made.

She's too busy keeping an eye on Wasowksi

The pastor with the moustache in Florida who did the Quran burning mess a year or two ago.

It wasn't Al Qaeda as far as anyone's reported.

Duke, can you back that up? Any reason not to change the thread title, or are we just assuming "any group of angry people in middle eastern country = Al Qaeda"?

That doesn't mean we can't say it was Al Qaeda!

I think it's safe to assume that Duke likes to troll with "outrageous!" opinions.

Topic edited pending someone actually proving that statement with something?

This is the first time a US Ambassador has been killed in 33 years.

1979...Iran I'm guessing?

Sorry, I guess the group had "ties" to AQ. My bad.

Even if AQ had nothing to do with it, they will try to take credit, which is mostly what they do.

Can you even back that up? Seriously, it looks like an "Angry mob" from press reports.

It was from a Yahoo! article that was changed from (in order): AQ did it, to AQ-ties did it, to Islamists did it.
