After seeing the replay I take this post back. That was a blown call. From Stone's statement I thought Paulie was behind him.

If anyone has watched some baseball around the league, you have to admit the umpiring has been really lousy this season.

hawk's actually right here and Stone's initial statement is wrong. Stone's statement suggested Paulie was playing behind the runner. Both were breaking for the base, that's different from what Stone seemingly said at first.

Ump's call was 100% wrong. There's a few first baseman who play off the base and then shuffle back on a pickoff throw.

If Konerko was behind him the Ump and Stone's first statement would have been right. With Paulie in front of him and racing to the bag, the call was wrong.
