Santiago needs to be in the rotation next year. His arm is too valuable to be in the bullpen.

Agreed. You have Veal, Septimo, Quintana, Leesman, Santos Rodriguez. Moskos that we picked up from the Pirates.

Would rather they invest Thornton's money into the 3B/C position.

yes hector starting the 7th. keep rolling over the indians.

HECKKKKKKKKKOR!

Now he finally finds the screwball (75 MPH).

A week too late.

Still throwing 95 MPH in the 7th inning, impressive start, has command of all of his pitches, nice rhythm going with AJ tonight.

An amazing stat is how Santiago is dominating lefties now. When he was in the bullpen, lefties were hitting in the .300s I believe against him.

You can say that about several players being a bit late in their "finding it" I am sorry to say

Quintana as a reliever is a bad idea, especially given how slow he starts out games. I wouldn't be against starting him in AAA in order to limit his innings early in the year.

That and his propensity for defensive miscues and brain cramps. You would never want him to do anything but start an inning...so he would be fighting probably for that long man spot with the likes of Axelrod, Castro, Rienzo, Leesman, Thompson, Sanchez, etc.

No one else has "found" it

Peralta just homered off Chen.

1-0 Tigers.

Will we survive to fight another day?

10 Ks

Impressive

No. The team has assumed they are out of it. Players actually performing is the indication.

THIS.

It's just fitting they started hitting when 3 games back.

2 on 2 for the royals in the 5th

Dayan is walking like nobody's business

Bases loaded 4 the royals

Escobar out on 3 pitches... Top of the 6th 1-0 tigers. 80 pitches 4 porcello

I hate Alcides Escobar. He's a career .185 hitter vs the Tigers, and a career .950 hitter vs the White Sox

Meanwhile, got a fantastic outing from Hector today.

WOWWWWWW Lough just drops the ball in CF with 2 outs & gives the Tigers another run.

3-0

Thanks Royals,

Crappy CFer Lough just gave the Tigers another run. Dropped a ball hit right at him. Got turned around.

3-0.

Error scores the Tigers 3rd run.

It's ovah.

F..k the royals

Amazingly all of our runs driven in today on singles. Swinging singles we are.

Horrible call at 2B there.

Thanks to the umpires as well in this game if they plate 2 more runs and Garcia ends the season more or less officially.
