Not really rumors as much as thats what the coaches have voted on.

Alvarez presented it differently, but thats why I said it was a rumor. All sorts of stuff about new conferences Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin being in the same division.

Yeah, it's going to be east/west, just depends who joins the west with those 3, Minnesota, NW and Illinois - either IU, PU, or MSU.

I guess there's also the chance NW could go east and have IU and PU join the west.

There may be hope for Illinois football yet.

I still think Te'o is gay.

Are you a homophobe? If not, then why does it matter, and why should anybody care what you think anyway? Are you an expert on spotting closeted gay men?

Tearing at old scabs already?

Tearing at old scabs already?

Why does it matter to you?

Lets derail this really quick.

What new rumors?

Just your run of the mill, Big10 had a secret meeting where they invited UNC. Rumors about April announcements.

No real information, probably just timed with the NC ruling on the ACC lawsuit.

The fun part will be discovery. If Im Maryland I want to depose everyone and ask them if they have contacted other conferences, etc.

Im sure everyone will love the deposition transcripts.

I've lost a lot of weight, so the panties are always bunched.

If the Big10 wanted UNC, they should have gone after them a couple years ago, before the ACC landed Pitt, Syracuse, and ND and made the ACC a more attractive place to stay.

Well Im pretty sure that the reason the Big10 thinks they can go after UNC is because the ACC is being watered down by teams like Pitt/Syracuse/Louisville and its unlikely that the ACC can ever catch the Big10 in revenue. The ACC is currently behind the Big10, and the Big10 tier 1 is about to expire. Many people believe the Big10 will get a tier 1 deal that is larger than their current, which will increase their revenue further.

Its also interesting that you mentioned ND, which is part of the reason for the ACC destabilization. Much like the Big East, the ACC is going to find that having a "partial" member costs more than its worth. If ND was to join the ACC as a full member, than it would likely stabilize the ACC for the near future.

But Ive seen no indication that ND Football wants to join the ACC as a permanent member.

Football is the only sport that matters.

The ACC got a guarantee of 5 football games per year from ND--something the Big East never had.

I also don't see how Pitt/Syracuse/Louisville are watering down the ACC. Louisville and Pitt are just as good if not better than anybody the ACC has in football now outside of FSU and Clemson. Plus Pitt & Syracuse help with the TV money by being a draw in the Northeast. It's not going to put them up there with the Big 10 or SEC, but it's going to help a lot.
