The big mistake in this discussion was bringing up ND.

Ding ding ding! Such an easy thread derail. Can you imagine the fun if there were some super controversial call in a Ohio State-Notre Dame game? I'd sit back and grab some popcorn to watch Rock and HH.

Ref check

OSU check

ND check

I think you might have designed a bigger train wreck than the NBA thread.

Yes, 24 team playoffs.

So they are able to do it with a short season and even more teams. The Ivy League & SWAC decline participation, but every other conference champion makes the playoffs. So nearly every team has a chance to win the championship.

Yes, and the teams that make it to the further rounds of the playoffs play 13-15 games.

Where do you play the games though?

On campus until the quarterfinals, when you switch to the bowl sites. The lower levels play on campus until the final.

This is how you honor military without being flashy and ridiculous

Oh boy, that's not loaded or anything. I still say uniforms aren't worth getting worked up over. Enjoy them, hate them, discuss them, but you're not allowed to be offended by them.

Very cool. BUT why aren't they trying to equate the football players to soldiers and put them in blood spattered helmets?

You're not? Who are you, God?

I know, we're missing the boat by not being ridiculously over the top and trying to draw attention.

At least we can look forward to Illinois pounding OS today to take our minds off yesterday.

Why do I have this weird urge to bet the house on Illinois? They seem to always play undefeated OSU tough and 32 points is a lot.

Do it. Bet your house.

They should have Grove give the pregame speech. That should fire anyone up.

He'll have him coach too. Can't be any worse.

Not sure what you ate for breakfast, but that's where your weird urge came from.

Watching Illinois and Indiana side by side salt the bar. It's like they're competing on who can be more terrible. Hoosier currently lead since their we can't take a snap and that awful delay of game penalty. I have a feeling Illinois will answer that soon.

Illinois within 2 scores of osu. We should onside kick.

maybe you should have bet the house...

Coach fight, dirty play. Things going downhill.
