Must be weird for Crain knowing he probably won't be ending his season in Chicago.

I'd think the opposite. He has a good chance to go to a contender and get off this dying team. He ain't getting any younger.

BIG BALLS there by Crain. Too bad these games are now meaningless. Unless, of course, Crain is trying to pitch himself onto a contending team.

Not really what I was saying. I'm sure he wants to go to a winner. On the other hand, he's still on the Sox and it's got to be strange knowing sometime in the next 6 weeks he'll be somewhere else. But until then, he's got to get outs for this suck team.

Hawk said that ball was hit "sharply" by Paulie. I don't know about that. I'm nitpicking, but Paulie hit a little routine tapper to second.

Given a choice, I'd rather be in the pennant race in September and choke like we did last year the last 2.5 weeks rather than be out of it this early in the season. This is really suckage at its lowest to not be in the race.

Please stay healthy, Jesse.

Just an incredible year, it would be cool if he makes the ASG

Pop up by Viciedo. Any Soxtalkers still huge on his future? I'm kind of down on him, fully aware he's the hero of tonight's game. Just wondered if anybody is all ga-ga over Viciedo like I was two years ago.

I thought he would be farther along in his development by now. Still has some more time not ready to give up on him yet.

Jesse has to be afraid that changing teams might change his luck. The last thing he wants is to lose this hot streak heading into FA

Players, not pitchers, do not seem to progress in this organization.

For some ST'ers:

Tim Baffoe ‏@TimBaffoe 3m

Henry Rodriguez's first pitch clocked at 99mph. And it hit the ump. Second pitch at 99mph. And it hit the batter. #Cubes

1 win out of 4 at Planet Houston.

Yay. A win over the Stros finally.

Good pitching again. Really too bad our hitting sucks so bad. We coulda been a contender with this pitching staff.
