I'm so sick of hearing about their prospects and how the Royals are about to blow up and win the freaking World Series. (Especially from half of Soxtalk) Meanwhile, they are still the Royals, a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs since the start of Reagan's second term.

From having lived there almost a decade, from 1996-2007, I have SOME sympathy or maybe it's empathy or both combined.

 

Same thing with the Chiefs' franchise, which was basically like the Blackhawks or Bears now to Chicagoans but multiplied by 5X because of the loss of the Kings.
