Yea I'm in a smaller 2br as well, probably 850-900sqft, but its in a great area (Damen and Greenleaf). Super quiet over here, just a bit far from the L though.

One benefit to living in Rogers Park is the insanely cheap rent, our 2br got 'raised' to $1185 a month (from 1150). Most of my friends in River North-ish area pay close to that per person.

I looked everywhere as long as it was west of ridgeland. My wife is from there so she was my guide. Close to transportation with a big lot, both are valuable in that town it appears.

Its a Farmhouse built in 1883, very typical of the historic area of Oak Park where it has a front deck, siding and shutters. I am planning on adding an addition and doing the kitchen before I move in. The thing about the area is that the lot is a very important piece because they differ quite a bit from block to block, however this one is 60x190 which is large. Its also located very close to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio which is very cool.

I only went to Mickey's a few times in the years before we moved, but I remember their ribs were pretty damn good. And yea, Alpine is the s***.

Eh I wasn't a big fan, I hate that they don't have ketchup for fries (which is a must for me personally). The hot dogs were very good, but their tamales sucked.

Maybe it's because I grew up going there, but I've never had an issue with the interior. It's very old school in there.

I'm all over the slam....A friend told me that Indiana now allows felonies to be expunged. I have quite the petty felony on my record from 6 years ago....What is that process like? Before calling a lawyer I figure I'd try to get some knowledge on the subject here

Actually broke the contract due to what my engineer called serious structural issues. BUT now under contract with another house not too far away. The good thing is I got it for under asking by alot and its just about finished.
