Weird, pen not too far removed from several heavy outings, 6-run lead. And also on paper one of the better pen arms (poor start notwithstanding) throwing in a really low-leverage situation.

I think poor start should withstand in this case...he's been both supremely hittable and wild so he's not a high leverage guy until he gets his act together.

 

However...taking EJ out right now? I don't get it at all. Maybe he's mildly injured?

He's always been horrible at it, to be fair.

Re: Belisario, maybe. I think it's likely to be more a small-sample size thing. I'd rather see a couple of other guys in a 6-run game, but I see your point.
