May 10, 201411 yr http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140510 Looks like Danish has been moved back because of the fog last night.
May 11, 201411 yr Davidson must be healthy again...2 at bats, 2 strikeouts. It's amazing though how similar his numbers are to Javy Baez this year. Edited May 11, 201411 yr by fathom
May 11, 201411 yr Kanny rained out. W-S now in a rain delay. Montas has to be done. 4.1 IP 3 H 0 R 6 SO Like.
May 11, 201411 yr QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 11, 2014 -> 12:43 AM) Kanny rained out. W-S now in a rain delay. Montas has to be done. 4.1 IP 3 H 0 R 6 SO Like. In my mind, Montas and Danish are the top two pitching prospects in the system.
May 11, 201411 yr Trayce Thompson seems like a change of scenery candidate. Disappointing he's putting up the same OPS as last year when repeating the level.
May 11, 201411 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) In my mind, Montas and Danish are the top two pitching prospects in the system. Was literally about to post this exact comment.
May 11, 201411 yr Davidson is 3-39 with 19 strikeouts at home this season. Based on what Capra said today about how he has so many moving parts that they need to fix, I hope they didn't make a terrible judgment regarding his ability to adjust when they scouted him. May 11, 201411 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 10, 2014 -> 07:56 PM) Mitchell 3-3 Always incredibly streaky until the bigger end. At least he's consistent in that.
May 11, 201411 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 11, 2014 -> 12:35 AM) Still good to see Phegley doing well in AAA. Just launched a 2 run HR 3 in 4 games now.
May 11, 201411 yr Good chance Phegley is on Sox team in 2015, Nieto getting his dose of AAA. Barring trades, injuries, of course.
May 11, 201411 yr QUOTE (oldsox @ May 11, 2014 -> 07:04 AM) Good chance Phegley is on Sox team in 2015, Nieto getting his dose of AAA. Barring trades, injuries, of course. I think they're more likely to go with a veteran (as the 2nd catcher), if they're on the periphery of competing for a playoff spot next year...more of a mentoring type with Flowers, like a Blanco or Hannigan. The pitching staff trusts Tyler a lot more than Josh. It would take a pretty amazing defensive turnaround for them to bring Phegley back as a full-time player, unless Tyler just completely falls apart the next 4 1/2 months. Which is certainly possible, of course. But they don't make a natural platoon and it's better if one or the other is the declared starter, IMO. Edited May 11, 201411 yr by caulfield12
