IIRC, Vargas is always good against us.

If a 6.31 ERA and a 1.486 WHIP is good, then yes he's been great against us.

YDRC, I'm afraid.

Probably he was decent for the Royals against us last year (since we sucked against everyone, especially the AL Central) but pretty terrible most of his times out with the Mariners.

Then you have to take into consideration that games at Safeco aren't exactly offensive shootouts most of the time.

Have we already lost the game?

Carroll knows this is important for the team and his status with the big club

Hammer the soft tosser Vargas tonight.

Sitting LHB against LHP? Genius Robin

I was hoping it was more "resting LHB vs LHP, AND getting De Aza out of the lineup? Genius, Robin"

White Sox batters now leading the majors in strikeouts with 409.

Wind blowing at with nearly gale force, over/under on homers is 4.5 and the Royals coming off an offensive explosion yesterday, especially Alex Gordon.

Nothing looks good about this game for the Sox.

Over/under on Greg comments if Sox get blown out, 11.5 comments.

I was probably thinking of last year. I only remember him as an Angel and a Royals- forgot about Seattle, even though he was there for awhile. He was also a Marlin and a Met.

There's no way that's not an error on Beckham.

Even the home scorekeeper's going to start feeling sorry for Carroll in an inning or two and reverse that decision.

This is going to be one of the shortest game threads of the season.

Royals 16-5 when they score first.

Not easy for Carroll to be pitching in his hometown essentially, Liberty, Missouri. Went to Missouri State for two years after he transferred from Purdue as well.

3rd game in a row WTF! Goodbye Mr. Carroll

I'm glad I bought MLB.tv so I could watch this.

Carroll is getting nickelled and dimed and errored to death. One ball was hit hard

He certainly deserves better than this.

Beckham gets the double play and this inning's completely different.

Hosmer's was the only hard hit ball.

30+ pitches already.

Not a very good throw by Eaton at all. Gordon smartly tags up and gets to 2nd base.

Ramirez is the only good infielder (non-1B) in the organization.
