I saw the play. Terrible effort. Announcers said nothing. It did not lead to any extra runs.

The runner was going to score from 2nd...and the hitter was PROBABLY going to get a double regardless (when's the last time DeAza threw someone out from LF at second?), but the SD broadcasters both remarked and how surprised they were that the play didn't get made.
