January 3, 201511 yr QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jan 2, 2015 -> 09:12 PM) A RH bench bat that can play 3B and 2B is still sorely needed. Gordon Beckham

January 4, 201511 yr Anyone know what Bonafacio is looking for in a contract, years/salary? I was looking at his numbers and he hit really well against lefties last year. Just might make a good platoon partner for Gillaspie since Bonafacio can play almost anywhere including 3B.

Last I read he wanted to be a starter somewhere.
January 4, 201511 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) Last I read he wanted to be a starter somewhere. A starter on a bad team or a contending team? Because I think the Sox could/will be a contending team, and I think he can definitely start here at 2B.

January 4, 201511 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) Last I read he wanted to be a starter somewhere. That could be a problem. I would offer a chance to win the job in ST and that's about it.

Agreed. Bonafacio's defensive versatility is his best asset with his speed/base stealing ability a close second, IMO. The Sox would have no problem getting him ab's.

The Sox would have no problem getting him ab's. but on the flip side, every player wants to be a starter. so i can see why he might buck at the super sub. then again every player wants to play for a world series and he can help the sox there.
