5/2 - White Sox vs Twins

Featured Replies

Bigger problem....Sox pitchers consistently not in the correct position backing up bases.

More coaching issues unaddressed...along with ridiculous throws from outfielders.

Time to go smoke a joint and enjoy the sun on the back balcony. Go Bulls.

I'll just pile on here...the Rodon in the pen thing has been a disaster.

1) He's not ready for the big leagues

2) He's not a reliever

3) He's not ready for the big leagues

Send him down. Let him start and work on his overall game. And call him up in a couple months if he's ready. It's not that complicated.

Sox never answer back with runs.

How can the White Sox be this bad? Do you realize how bad Minnesota is??

Well, literally everyone is underachieving besides Robertson, Duke, Jennings and Avi.

Poor baserunning

bad approaches at the plate

mental mistakes fielding (too numerous to mention but throwing to the wrong base has happened at least twice)

pitchers not backing up

sloppy baseball all around (physical mistakes)

But hey, players gotta play right? It's not the same s*** we've seen for most of RVs tenure.

Momentum. Doesnt exist in baseball. Or so they keep saying.

It's the same team we saw in ST

Hear, hear, brother. I'm packing one up now too.

Ironically, the one area we dont need is LH relief...yet keep jamming Rodon into those situations.

1) Rodon is ready for the bigs

2) Rodon is a starter

3) Until he gives up 10 runs in one game as a starter he is READY of the bigs

4) He is here as a starter you cannot and should not judge anything he does unless it is as a starter

Since mid September 2012 when we were up by three games on Detroit.

At some point this has to fall on a coaching staff that seems to never get the best out of its players. For gods sake, look at how Showalter gets guys like Pearce to be productive.

Rodon already looks like he has a tired arm.

That's what happens when you hire a guy who has never coached at any level to manage your major league club.

As I've been saying, you can't fire 25 players. Fire the f***ing manager. What is the worst that can happen! I mean, they LITERALLY having nothing to lose except 90 games. Again.

That Mauer at-bat took a lot out of him.

wow. we caught a break. Still, move evidence this that Rodon's command as a reliever is not there and this experiment should end.

Thanks stone and Hawk for that amazing explanation of how vision works.

So does he have any confidence in his slider or what?

edit: no s*** it's a good idea stone. I was wondering why myself.

Well at this pace at least we have a top 10 protected pick.. right guys..??? eh.. heh..

So if Coop was such a magical genius in '05, can he suck now?

Not too many swings and misses on sliders....the strategy is clearly to look fastball firsl and make him throw sliders for strikes.

If coop is telling RV to use Rodon like this he can find another org to work with. I feel like the guy started to believe his own hype a few years ago. I honestly don't think he's that great of a pitching coach anymore. His one claim to fame is health and who gives a s*** about health if guys aren't ready to start the season. There have been some real awful pitching displays this year and part of it might be the light spring workloads.
