Great recovery from the lackluster first inning.

 

Should be a 2-1 Sox lead. Best streak to retire 17 consecutive by a Sox pitcher this season.

He took an Iowa State team that finished 12th in the Big 12 in his first year into one that has won two straight Big 12 tournaments and is Final Four caliber this year. My opinion is high.

I used to be annoyed that Hoiberg built Ia St on transfers, but he simply showed he was a few years ahead of his peers.
