September 10, 200322 yr Interesting Idea..... how does everyone else feel about this? sorry if this has already been posted. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines
September 10, 200322 yr Next year they need to be somewhere other than Montreal and/or San Juan. I would think MLB in the DC area would be nice. Rather than contract teams they should look at moving some poor attendance clubs around to new areas of the country.

Send them to DC and give em a name that isin't gay & they'll do fine.
September 10, 200322 yr Give them to Portland, they need/want it more than we do. Hell yeah we'd want them/ love to have them. I would literally s*** a gold brick if we got them. f*** DC, they already have a top line team in every other single sport. All we have is the Blazers.

September 10, 200322 yr How incredible ignorant. There are all these places competing for a team and they want to dilude the Chicago market more.
September 10, 200322 yr Stay in Montreal. 2 teams is packing this town as is. Throw a 3rd in the mix won't work, even if it's for a year.
September 11, 200322 yr Sounds like one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Two teams is plenty in Chicago and some would debate even that is too much.
September 11, 200322 yr There's a reason Bud Selig hasn't discussed moving the Expos to Chicago for a season. Cause it is stupid as all hell. Why on earth would you want 3 teams in one area. The Orioles owner b****es about having a team close to his team. So why would Reinsdorf and the good ole Trib Co want a third team. JR doesn't like attendance now anyways. That is just a silly idea.

That is just a silly idea. silly as the idea is, they could always move them down state.... werent they supposed to be building a stadium across the river from the st. louis area anyhow???? it would make better sense if they moved them down there instead of up in this area...... imagine the new revenue it would bring and ease our tax dollars a bit here in illinois.........just a thought from the other hand, not that i really want to have them here but it could work out ok if it had to happen......
September 11, 200322 yr Some sports writers have too much time on their hands. They start daydreaming and think they had good ideas. No way in hell can I see this working. As for downstate... no stadium being built. It's going in St. Louis.
September 11, 200322 yr How incredible ignorant. There are all these places competing for a team and they want to dilude the Chicago market more. The Expos would turn into the Ross Perrot of Chicago Baseball. Yeah, let's try and dilute the Sox fan base more so that the Cubs fan base looks even larger. :fyou How about just combine the Expos in with the Sox? Now that's an idea!!!
September 11, 200322 yr Send 'em to Indianapolis. It's the 13th most populater city in the US. The have all kinds of facilities down there too from the Pan-Am games.

All we have is the Blazers. You'd LITERALLY s*** a gold brick???? EXCELLENT!! That would make for a GREAT Opening Day ceremony!!!
September 11, 200322 yr How about just combine the Expos in with the Sox? Now that's an idea!!! The Soxpos??
September 11, 200322 yr The Soxpos?? Naw, keep it the White Sox but can you imagine this team with Vlad, Vidro and Vazquez?
