Sox Looking at Upton

He'll be 28 to start the year next year.

I could see a 5-6 year deal.

I'd go 5/90 on him

I'd go 6/$120M for Upton. He's one of a handful of free agents I'd be willing to sacrifice a draft pick for, as we desperately need a cleanup hitter and he's young enough to be valuable for the vast majority of his contract.

20 mil per..... i guess that would be the going rate. esp with the huge contracts given last yr to the fa's.

I'd go 5 yrs for Upton if went that route.

We really need to end up with a top 10 draft pick. The comp pick makes losing a 2nd rounder not hurt too much, but I really don't want to lose our 1st round pick if we decide to pick up a free agent.

If we do get a top 10 pick, and pick up a comp pick for Jeff, then I would definitely use my 2nd rounder on Upton or Heyward.
