He will never be a terrible hitter. The fact that he can bloop the outside pitch to the right side will keep his batting average above .250. But if he wants to be a solid or a good hitter he has to also be able to drive the inside/middle of the plate pitch and he can't do that right now.

And I think that's why this is all so disappointing. So many players haven't bad years. The good thing is, a number of them appear to be turning it around combined with the fact the AL is terrible and the White Sox are right in it.

As far as I know, he's the only 2005 White Sox player who did. However, it is unclear whether or not he was juiced in 2005.
