He has 12 as a leadoff guy. His job is to get on base, not hit homers, but he does anyway.

There's no doubt in my mind that he'd be a 25+ homer guy if he tried to hit them out every at bat.

You know he only hit 1 last year right? I think 15 is probably going to be what he gets this season and might end up as a career high.

Hmmm if you say so. I think Eaton should concentrate on getting on base more. His K rate seems up this year.

Not a good pitch. Can't keep hanging that slider

So how's EJ lookin? I was going to watch today again but had to leave.

I think it's worth noting that despite him hitting a ton more HR, His offensive production in 2015 measured by RC+ is actually down from 2014. Still a solid hitter, but these extra HR aren't translating to a big offensive upgrade.

In general he hasn't made many mistakes. Sal Perez is really strong.

The pitch to Dyson was a mistake, but two solo shots isn't bad. He hasn't walked anyone (yet) which is REALLY important for him.

Overall solid, just hung a pitch for an easy HR but for the most part he's been really good, good control, attacking hitters, not a lot of hard contact against him, throwing all 4 pitches effectively.

Definitely better than whatever the hell that was last year. Great to see him around the plate.

3 solo shots.

Yikes EJ

Maybe we spoke a bit too soon with the praise. 2 quick HR. Again not a great pitch, fastball pretty much down the middle thigh high.

Get the pen up.

Yeah there's a bit of Gavin in him for sure. Victim of the one big inning.

He might be getting to the end of his day.

Anyone up in the pen? There should be.

He has throw some bad pitches. That's just some in between the ears s***.

Shouldn't take Petricka that long to warm up in this heat. If Gordon gets on it's time for EJ to depart.

He's crumbling it seems by looking at gamecast

That was f***ing scary.

EJ just got hit by a broken bat shard that flew from home plate, he blocked it and deflected it with his arms so that he wasn't stabbed, but man that was close.

Both the umps and Alexei were distracted by EJ getting hit by the bat, but replays going to show Alexei probably threw him out.

Yay he got out of this inning.

Replay says out

That was scary. Who said he can't field his position!

Listening to the Royal broadcast. They were discussing the Sox problems. No leadership in the clubhouse.

Enough with Petricka. Give Montas a shot at valuable innings.
