June 1, 20169 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 31, 2016 -> 08:20 PM) Delmonico hit his first AAA home run tonight. He is looking pretty damn good Delmonico is also playing the OF a bit in Charlotte
June 1, 20169 yr I know we're stretching Ranaudo out, but man, beginning to wonder if we'd need a guy in the pen.
June 1, 20169 yr The problem with all of those guys like Coats/Hayes/Delmonico...is that we need a CF if Jackson's going to be out long/er-term. Replacing Avi Garcia or platooning him with a LHB, that's another issue altogether.
June 1, 20169 yr Sands hasn't been overly impressive; not sure the reason why a Charlotte guy or 2 couldn't give things a shot. Coats looks like he'd be an upgrade. Either Hayes or Merkin tweeted that they were going to give Delmonico some time in the outfield. From what read and the little I saw of Renaudo, he throws a real straight fastball that major league hitters tattoo. I wonder if they've been able to address that. Edited June 1, 20169 yr by GreenSox
June 1, 20169 yr Ranaudo K/BB rate since drafted: 2011: 117/46 2012: 27/27 2013: 127/47 2014: 111/54 2015: 90/46 2016 (MLB): 2/8 With Charlotte: 17/1 This dude is still very talented, if someone could help him work on his control issues, he might just be a quality starter in the majors. In other words, what he's doing in Charlotte is very encouraging.
June 1, 20169 yr QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 31, 2016 -> 11:37 PM) Zangari is 0-7 with 4 K's He should probably go down to Great Falls in a few weeks if he doesn't figure s*** out soon. It's one thing to struggle a new level, it's another thing to be completed overmatched which is what his 41% K rate suggests.
June 1, 20169 yr Author http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...e-in-charlotte/ Recap posted. It is the Future Sox debut from Owen Schoenfeld!
June 1, 20169 yr Kinda weird to have so many intriguing players in AAA. Really wish the Sands experiment would end, he's a DH with an OPS below .600. Coats can easily split that time and spell Melky/Avi in the OF, especially if Jackson misses more time.
June 1, 20169 yr QUOTE (southside hitman @ Jun 1, 2016 -> 07:40 AM) http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...e-in-charlotte/ Recap posted. It is the Future Sox debut from Owen Schoenfeld! Well, it is the Recap debut for Owen (the_Xsport). He wrote a draft profile last week.
