6/3 Game Thread - White Sox @ Tigers

And of course Rodon gives it back. Set up by another blown call by the umpire.

They are teeing off on Rodon's fastball, no shock

Lol at giving up a home run to James McCann..

Can we ever pitch with a lead without giving it up rather quickly?

The ump caused that hr....I don't know why but lately the sox have been on the wrong end of a lot of blown calls lately.

Just like that... 2-1 Detroit. Was 1 out away from getting out of the 2nd.

Good job Rodon, jesus

Rodon struggles so much once he gets two outs. This outfield is so bad on defense, as Shuck got a bad jump

That's what happens when you face a team that has more than 1 guy who can hit. Offense is what wins games and we have none while the teams we have faced lately are stacked (mostly bc their owners have the balls to spend some money)

Eaton keeps pulling the ball. He is really struggling.

1.53 WHIP for Rodon.

Hasn't improved from last year. If anything his stuff has gotten a bit worse.

He has to get it down, or he isn't long for the majors.

Offense has 3 best players struggling big time right now. Need someone to carry them this weekend against a good offense

He isn't going anywhere, but he'll never live up to his potential if he can't throw his fastball for strikes when he wants.

Another missed strike call

Garbage

Another HR.

Falls behind and another homer on a fastball. How many 92-93 mph fastball homers has he allowed this year?

Game over.

Rodon is pretty bad.

Ridiculous, 3 missed so far in Tigers favor

Game is a mismatch talent wise. Sox have two players in their lineup today that would even start for the Tigers (Frazier and Eaton)

Martinez would be a sure-fire HOFer if he played all of his games against the White Sox.

Don't get this idea of only selectively using his 96-97 MPH fastball instead of just laying it in there without superior command at 92-93.

All you need to do is go 6 innings...he's worrying about stamina to pitch into the 7th? Somebody needs to talk to him because giving up that velocity SHOULD give you the ability to put it on the black.

Agreed, hate the way Rodon is trying to pace himself. His command when pitching at a lower speed isn't significantly better than max effort.

Don't see the Sox scoring 4 runs in this game, especially with the lineup they're running out there tonight.
