He will be up. We know they're calling up a position player and he's the most obvious candidate. Plus he didn't play last night which pretty much confirms it. Hopefully they actually give him a couple of starts.

Frazier knows how and Shuck played in triple A during his stint there. They are fine. A good backup 1B isn't a huge necessity.

Yes. Saladino can play there, and Avila has played there for Detroit.

I'm excited about the new blood, but before we start talking about replacing Avi or even Sands, let's remember that this is a 26 y/o who has never played in the bigs and is currently benefitting from a super high BABIP at AAA. Don't be shocked if he goes 2-30 and disappears, Wilkins style.
