  1. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 03:13 PM) Mine is drunkchimp. Would you be interested in being on a EASHL team? Yeah, for sure. I haven't played online with my guy yet, so he kind of sucks. He's a LW Playmaker.
  2. If anyone wants a game in NHL 10, my PS3 ID is CULaw. I also have NHL 09 if you haven't bought the new one yet.
  3. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 01:34 PM) can i get a link to a good online tv feed of this game, justin.tv doesnt have audio You might want to try www.stoogetv.com
  4. I love this guy's work! Thanks for the link.
  5. After last nights speech, Obama fell 3 points on Intrade, and McCain went up 3.7. That is one of the bigger one day movements I have seen in a while. I really don't know how much stock to put into the site in general, but it's an interesting way to get a feel for how others perceive events like last night.
  6. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 07:33 AM) I thought the same as well and hadn't had a chance to post this, I thought his speech last night was VERY well done. I thought his delivery was better than advertised (he seemed very genuine). However, in my opinion the material was very weak. Not a bad speech, but if it was better written it could have been really damn good. I will concede the end really surprised me and was quite strong.
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:35 AM) "Mr. President, I reach around party lines." Lame....
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:18 PM) I don't really see how people can't commend Bush for his leadership during September 11th. I understand people will make fun of him for the initial reaction (when he was in a Florida elementary school) but bottom line he was a big reason the US united together strongly during one of the tougher times our country has ever faced. In fact, I think long-term, Bush will go down as a president renown for doing some tremendous things, but also for doing some things that may look like epic disasters. What the hell did he do that any other president would not have? It's not like if it was Gore he would have cried on national TV saying its all over...we are screwed.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 11:17 PM) This Bolt dude is ridiculous. Here's a question for you all- who were/are you more impressed by, Phelps or Bolt? Bolts amazing no doubt, but he just sprints. Phelps dominated every swimming event in every style. To me, that would be like Bolt dominating sprints, hurdles, etc. I could be way off though. I never competed in either sport.
  10. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) I wonder if China is keeping an eye on the Russia/georgia situation. Seeing how we haven't done a thing there, maybe this will give them the courage to go take back Tiawan, sinec they think it is there anyway. The problem in dealing with countries like Russia and China, is that they don't give a flying f*** what the 'world community' thinks about what they do. They will destroy hospitals, kill civilians, shoot at the press, whatever. And the 'world comminuty' doesn't hold them accountable for those actions, other than 'condemning their actions'. Ooooohhh, that's strong. Simply put, Russia/Georgia and China/Taiwan are two completely different situations in every front. The recent elections in Taiwan have greatly decreased tensions between the PRC and the ROC. As an example, there are now direct flights between China and Taiwan. China is not about to march into Taiwan because of some other completely unrelated conflict.
  11. Reggie Miller. Take a bow, then take a loss. I would love a link to that clip by the way. I think I remember Pippen paying the favor back in Indy...
  12. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 22, 2008 -> 02:05 AM) Who knew the US was this good in volleyball? Geez. Both golds on the beach and both in the gold medal match indoor. Also, stupid interview with the men's coach after that great match. It was 2-0 US and they almost lost, came down to a couple points, but 2 of the 3 questions about what happened to his in-laws. That's great journalism. We've already heard this story a billion times, but it's more important than what was probably the match of the Olympics for volleyball. I was pissed at the line of questioning also. The gold medal is the story, f the human interest story (I'm sure the coach feels the same way). Anyway, great game. Now I'm gonna watch some power walking....
  13. Craig Grebeck, Norberto Martin, Jeff Abbott, McKay Christensen, Jim Parque (does he count) Don't forget Mark Dalesandro. He came home to Chicago and put up MONSTER numbers...0 for 1; which was his last big league at bat.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 07:14 AM) I hope your enjoying yourself, when I was in Suzhou I stayed in the absolute crappiest hotel lol, the bathrooms were dirty and beds werent comfortable at all, but its the city of gardens and they had a nice little outside garden in the middle of it... Where did you stay. I'm at the Dong Wu. It's not bad, but its far from nice. I just wish I could find a bar without hookers.
