These games are about getting the guys regular work/rest and nothing more, unless we all of a sudden think we can get that 2 seed

I would imagine they're just going to schedule usage for the pen at this point, more concerned about when and how guys get work than the result

AND THAT'S A BENCH CLEARING WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

I don't really care if it was intentional or not, now there's going to be a microscope on him being pitched tight like that, might help how he gets pitched in the future. To that end, as I mentioned in the other thread, there's a lot of talk on how brawls/ benches clearing can cause a team to play, but that was a team ready to defend Jose. If nothing else, I enjoyed seeing them defend their leader, because they wouldn't have reacted that way if he wasn't a team leader. That's as much emotion as I've ever seen out of Garrett Crochet, for one.

    9/27 Sox @ Tigers 12:10PM CT

Well, at least I guess I loved the team's reaction to all of it in about all facets (I didn't watch live), but from his teammates being out there for him in a split second, to Sheets making sure to hold him back, to Liam's reaction - yeah, he is the cornerstone of that clubhouse, and if he's that pissed, they are pissed for him. He's the leader and they've got his back.

AND THAT'S A BENCH CLEARING WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

If we win the World Series this year they might retire 79 after the season as opposed to when Jose retires. Because no one else is wearing it. He's not going to be an MLB hall of famer, but between his American and Cuban stats, he's a baseball HOF'er.

Since football is a stupid sport, I'm still very pleased with West Ham this year.

    COVID Thread Part Deux

The state of Iowa website isn't the best, but the hospitalization data in terms of vaccination is illuminating. There are 24 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 0-19. 0 are fully vaccinated. There are 26 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 20-29. 2 are fully vaccinated. There are 44 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 30-39. 2 are fully vaccinated. There are 65 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 40-49. 3 are fully vaccinated. There are 113 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 50-59. 15 are fully vaccinated. There are 150 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 60-69. 29 are fully vaccinated. There are 111 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 70-79. 42 are fully vaccinated. There are 101 COVID patients hospitalized from ages 80+. 50 are fully vaccinated. 83% of those over 65 are fully vaccinated. So, basically of the 159 people under the age of 50 that are hospitalized due to COVID, a whopping 9 are vaccinated. Of the 272 under the age of 60 that are in the hospital, 22 are vaccinated. You can also look at the higher percentage of those vaccinated that are testing positive over 65 years of age - but also look at the lower numbers period of those in the hospital in a very high risk population.
  16. maybe tony didn't want to use any more pitchers today and told ruiz to lay it in there
  17. cleveland should feel bad about this
  18. lololol, sure, why not
  19. it's literally the back end, Ruiz isn't likely going to pitch in a close game in October
  20. Ok, the fact that Cleveland has no runs this inning means they deserve to lose
  21. nice bat flip though, bradley
  22. ha, i've seen the two longest singles ever today
  23. Foster/Ruiz to close this one?
