man...give our bullpen a medal. A medal that lets them rest for 3 days.

I feel so much better now than I did for the last 3 days.

Let me lay ito n the line, he's got two on the vine!

:headbang :cheers

We could really, really use 7-8 innings from Vazquez and Danks the next couple days. Even if they get shelled.

Besides the fact that this team made a very unimpressive pitcher look like cy young, it was an overall good game. The big 3 have to pull their heads out of their you know whats though. If this is gonna be a productive offense, they need to come through and not be a collective 5-20, or what-ever it was this series.

Having someone like Masset in the pen is also huge. Mac looked very good again. Bobby looked good as well, but I hope the radar gun is wrong, nd he throwing faster then 93-94 mph. Thornton needs to stop thinking so much though. He gets ahead 0-2, 1-2, 2-2, but then he nibbles around the plate, thinking about making the perfect pitch. But, instead of thinking, he needs to just rear back, and pitch. See the glove, throw it to the glove.

Lets hope Vazquez becomes a stud this season... I really want to call him Cy Vazquez.

Nice to notch one in the win column.

Once Thome, Paulie, and Dye start hitting, this team will catch on fire.

Great game by Masset.

Is there any chance he could eventually be a starter or is he only projected to be a bullpen arm? That was impressive today.

Masset you are a stud! Now lets get some wins against those Twins. I'm not freezing my ass off all weekend to see some losses!

There's a reasonable chance he could start at some point, in fact he's talking about it on the postgame show. Right now the line for the rotation seems pretty full...but you never really know. He may well have the stuff to do it.

It's gonna be cold! but i'll be there with ya!

Thank God we can relax now and look forward tomorrow to facing... Santana...

;p

We will now go on a tear and at the end of the season be 160-2. You can book it!

That's interesting, because the scheduled pitcher for tomorrow is Carlos Silva. And for Saturday its Sidney Ponson.

Sunday is that thing that destroys everyone.

Flash is the one with the McCarthy-Danks watch in his sig, right? Well, he should throw Masset into there as well, because he was aquired in the same trade.

I didn't mean for this year, as I agree our rotation would have to completely fall apart for him to make it. But in the future, he looked the part of a good starting pitcher today. So was just wondering if that's something he can build on, or whether that was just kind of a flukey thing? It'd be nice to have some nice starting options for 2008 and beyond with Contreras' age and Buehrle's contract uncertainty.

LOL. Now we know where Guillen picked up his appendage-aware managing style.

Woohoo!!! So does this mean the season isn't a complete disaster???

I wouldn't worry about our lack of success against Sowers. I was at the game, and I can't remember seeing so many hard-hit balls get caught or go just foul (as stated in the game thread). The Sox hit him a lot harder than the box score shows.

Winner! :headbang :headbang :headbang

Masset was the man and the hitting was enough (and clutch in Pods case) despite Thornton's continued struggles. With our April schedule I'll be very pleased with a winning April.

:cheers to the win column!

We've already got one win and one loss that ended with me going like this :huh its gonna be a fun year.

Well now that we got that win out of the way i think we all know what it is time for!!!!!!

Masset manned up up. After throwing a few innings the other day, he manned up and tossed a gem. Nice pick me up after disaster with Buerhle going down. Massett turned some heads today, hopefully he can build some confidence off of that for the future.

I cant wait to see Danks on Saturday in person.
