The only states where Clinton still holds a double-digit lead (among states with polls) are NY, TN and OK. Obama has double digit leads in IL, GA and UT.

Didn't Richardson endorse Hillary?

You can throw NM into her column now.

Richardson has not yet endorsed and continues to say he is not ready to do so yet.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised actually. I thought, with his experiences in the Clinton White House, that there was only one way he wouldn't almost immediately endorse Clinton - if someone offered him a better opportunity. But, if that was the case, why hasn't he endorsed someone else? I guess maybe he is waiting for a better offer.

Richardson is hugely popular in NM too, so he could pretty much hand that state to someone.

I've said it before. Unless he is already planning on supporting Obama and is keeping quiet until after Super Tuesday to give Obama a post-Tuesday bounce... he is simply looking for someone to get way out front and then suck up to them. He said when he dropped out he would wait and see. When ANYNE says that, it screams "I'll endorse the front runner because i don't want to be wrong and left out of the others administration".

To me that is pretty telling, and has been kept pretty quiet so far. Two people who had MAJOR positions in the first Clinton administration have refused to come out and endorse Hillary Clinton in Al Gore and Bill Richardson. Their lack of endorsements says everything that needs to be said to me.

I agree.

I'll predict that Gore endorses Obama, after Super Tuesday.

Richardson will go whatever direction gets him the best gig, I think. Although, he may also be thinking of going for the soon-to-be-open US Senate seat in NM, so he may not care who wins. If that's the case, he'll just endorse the Dem nominee in June.

I think you're right on with that one.

UH OH! Just found a HUGE problem. Thanks to my wife for catching this for me.

I got a piece of mail from the "Cook County Clerk's Office" that had all the election information: date, time, early voting sites, how to vote, ect.. the problem.... they told me the wrong place to go!!

I live in Roselle, but it was telling me to go vote in Schuamburg. Seemed kinda odd... but ok. BUT, the place where i was to vote was pretty far down the road. Didn't seem very close. My wife pulled up voterinfonet.com and checked to see if she was registered. She wasnt, but she noticed I was and my voting place was DIFFERENT than the one sent out by the "Cook County Clerk's Office". It's much closer than the other place and is actually in Roselle.

This could be a problem come tomorrow.

Problm solved...

I called and talked to a representative. They had her listed as living on SOUTH Plum Grove Road... which is in Schaumburg. We are on NORTH Plum Grove Road. HOW DOES THAT WORK? South Plum Grove Rd is NORTH of North Plum Grove Road? my head hurts! lol anyways. They made the correction.

Guess we'll find out if this is true later tonight....

I would say the polls in California showing Obama opening up a lead are about worth as much as, say, certain polls in New Hampshire. I don't need to say any more then that.

Obama's going to get a Hillarity reality check today.

First results are in, for American Samoa and other pacific-area Americans abroad...

Obama: 75%

Clinton: 25%

So, of the 22 delegates, that will split roughly to 16 for Obama and 6 for Clinton. Results are still be validated.

No big surprise here.

I had no issues and got my Obama vote in this morning. There was a lot of turnout for 6:45AM as I was the 129th person to show up.

A.S. only has 3 pledged delegates...

Its American Samoa PLUS other dems abroad - which is 10 pledged according to Wiki, and 11 pledged according to the source I cited. Plus the supers from the pacific rim to make it 22 or 23.

I'll take it. Every single delegate is crucial.

ooohhh... i missed the "other pacific-area Americans" part. my mistake.

Anyone else going to Obama's Illinois victory rally tonight?

I just crunched some more numbers. Based on the most recent polls, I am willing to make the following projection:

After SDOGPEIT Tuesday, the total delegate counts will be in the following ranges...

One democrat will have 909 delegates, the other will have 890. I am calling 920 the "upper bound". Meaning, no one candidate will have more than 920 delegates. The other will have no less than 879 delegates. So, a difference of 41 delegates at the max.
