I agree with you on this point. It can be categorized as a "sell" trade, because they are in a playoff race, and the MLB team is the #1 priority. But the chore in front of Getz is priority #1A, and that was the draft. I would hope that as we move on through July, if some team wants to cheap out on a solid back of the rotation starter and Getz sees an opportunity to restock the minors, Kay and Fedde are out the door. Maybe even Cannon and Davitt, too. It seems to me that Getz's MO all along was to assemble a glut of players. He has a full infield, so he traded off Lenyn, Mead and Gonzo. He moved Ant-man, Acuña, Brooks and Tanner Murray to the OF. He's setting himself up to have the same problem next season with a full IF at the ML level, Brooks and Tanner Murray being healthy, and Roch, Bonemer, Colby Shelton, Jeral Perez, Boston Smith and DiPino coming into AAA.

Correct. Rounds 11-20, you get $150 per slot, and that money up to the slot limit doesn't count against anything beyond its own slot. Anything under does not roll over. Anything over counts against total pool.
