Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
It was Jerry's input of course for Tony but if JR had a Woodrow for Larue he should have spoken up when U2 was still having hit records.

Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
Real tired of slogging the owner. Follow the Reds or Pirates for a while.

Oscar Colas declared free agent
At some point we will improve diplomacy with Cuba and the Sox can have one series there every season.

MLB 2020-21 off season catch all
Wondering if Yermin will see some DH duty pending Vaughn's arrival or will the Sox be shopping for another candidate. This seems to be one of the few remaining issues outside of pitching. Still hoping they pick up Q.

2020 Election Thoughts
Here's to the judges, officials, politicians, and election workers who followed the rule of law, discharged their duties and held our system in place during a difficult and challenging year.

Tony LaRussa to plead guilty to lesser charge
Absolute minimum has to give up his license and only drink at night. But he won't.

Tony LaRussa to plead guilty to lesser charge
Kind of a dangerous comment Nick.

New members....
After you've run the basepaths (on hot coals) you will be eligible for upgrade (ground crew trainee).

Owners would like to delay season until vaccine
Fun fact. MLB teams saved about $2.5B in payroll last year.

Day 12 of no new Sox News
If you are an NFL fan and can't even pay lip service to what gravely concerns 70% of the players then maybe find a new hobby. The least the league could do is skip the ceremony.

2020 Election Thoughts
The military oath includes a provision to obey orders of the president.

2020 Election Thoughts
It is probably worth being investigated by the Secret Service. Luckily most officials know right from wrong.

Tony LaRussa to plead guilty to lesser charge
I don't consider the situation resolved because he still has to face the media and there will be a showdown. His bench coach cannot cover for him. Being an old man is the least of his problems.

2020 Election Thoughts
The only vote that matters was the EC. The voting accusations are another way of saying too many people were allowed to vote.

Day 12 of no new Sox News
No one mentioned whether there could be further opt outs next season. Chin up.

2020 Election Thoughts
I don't see a military consensus but you can guess The Proud Boys will be out in farce on Inauguration Day. Pentagon shakeup makes for an interesting side show.

Indians will be no more
The natives also slaughtered each other but a wiser white man would have deeded them a huge section of frontier land and paid them to relocate permanently.

2020 Election Thoughts
Generalissimo Miguel Flynn calling for the military to overturn the election: In response to a clip of Flynn's Newsmax appearance, retired Gen. Tony Thomas reminded Flynn that he knows better than to make such wild claims. "You know that leveraging the military to 'rerun elections' is a totally inappropriate role for the profession," the former commander of the United States Special Operations Command tweeted. "Stop!"

Owners would like to delay season until vaccine
The SoCal ICU's are near capacity. Sounds fairly serious. There was an allegation that certain US officials have been promoting herd immunity. There are many alternative facts out there.

Owners would like to delay season until vaccine
Moderna's vaccine might help prevent infection. Maybe.

Sox sign Adam Eaton 1 year, $7m plus option
In my view the only significant issue would be how many games he can play. If he can start 100 games it should work out. The Sox are obviously on a budget and this is what we get.

Do the sox even have another need?
Not that it matters but MLBN seems to be hyping the Sox as looming AL favorites. Maybe not quite there yet.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Congrats to Trump and the FDA whose efforts will provide vaccines to our country in short order.

Indians will be no more
I am somewhat conversant about the Iroquois and their fascinating history. Not only were they in on the very first meeting of the colonies to discuss forming a new country, the US Articles of Confederation was loosely based upon their own government. NYS could easily have turned French without their support. Many of them were eventually run off to Canada but their Seneca tribe runs three casinos in WNY. They are also fairly litigious with NYS about pressing their treaty rights. Our shared US history was often about conning them into treaties to move them out of the way of settlers and later breaking that treaty.
