So why can't TA play a day game after a night game but Sheets and Garcia can? And Stone is a very good color man but just like TLR he thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. I ended up watching most of the Yankee - Astro's game last night. And I have to say the talent divide and performance level between those two teams and the Sox is really, really wide. Both teams are constructed so well. Defense, pitching, hitting, they both have it all covered. They play hard they play smart and they hate to lose. They are everything we thought the Sox were rebuilding to be and have turned out not to be. The recipe for building a winning organization is not a secret but for whatever reason very few teams can follow it. I put all the blame on JR and RH. You can definitely blame TLR as well but a competent owner would never have hired him in the first place. So as much as we all keep yelling for TLR to be fired until JR and RH are gone as well nothing is going to change with this team.

3 of the 6 AL playoff teams are coming out of the East so the only way the Sox make it is to win the Division. They have 16 games left against the Twins and 14 against Cleveland. They control their own destiny.

I'm right there with you my man. Nothing is going to change with this organization until JR and RH are gone. It is still unbelievable to me and everyone else with an ounce of sense that TLR is managing this team. All because JR felt guilty for letting Hawk fire TLR in 86.

You know Sosa can strike out twice, ground out, and hit in to a DP just as easily as Leury. So why not give those valuable AB's, as far as gaining experience go, to a 22 yr old who could be your future starting 2B ? I know, nobody tells TLR what to do.

Okay but how do you really feel?

No one is going to tell Tony fing Larussa how to make out a line up. I mean you know he is in the Hall Of Fame right? Yea I know he is pushing 80 yrs old and has been a drinker for probably 70 of those years but he still is as sharp as a tack. And his instincts and gut feelings when it comes to the game of baseball are second to none! If he thinks starting Leury will give this team the best chance to win well you better believe he knows something the rest of us don't.
