  1. This was a great win. This team has every reason to fold but they keep playing their as**ss off. They just need to keep scratching and clawing for every win they can until mid August when hopefully everyone is back.
  2. This is just beyond bad luck. That is now 4 starters who are either out long term or done for the year. Somehow this team has to stay afloat until mid August and then hope everyone that can come back does and is able to contribute. I don't know what they will do now before the trade deadline.
  3. At this point the Sox really need this All Star break to get some players the 5 days off. I would sit both Moncada and Grandal right now. That would give them 11 days until the next game. Anybody else with a lingering injury sit them right now as well. Get in to the break with a 4 or 5 game lead and call it good on the first half.
  4. I think we all are losing mind of the fact of how much this team has lost and is missing. Today's lineup is missing 5 starters. You take 5 starters off any team and see what happens. This team is going to have to scratch and claw it's way to wins until they get the team on the field we all expected at the start of the year. They have to do something at 2B and get another quality arm for the bullpen. If they can do that and get everyone healthy and back on the field by September they can still make a serious run come playoff time
  5. Gio is starting to become a worry.
  6. Keuchel is washed up. He will have the occasionally good 6 inning outing but for the most part he is just throwing batting practice. The Sox need to get Kopech in to the starting rotation in the second half of this season. No reason he can't go out there and give you at least 6 innings every 5th day.
  7. In my opinion if the Sox trade Vaughn it will come back to haunt them for years.
  8. Vaughn is going to be a special player.
  9. Have to believe the Sox are bringing up Sheets and Burger to showcase them. They are definitely going after a 2nd baseman .
  10. 1. T. Anderson SS 2. Y. Moncada 3B 3. E. Jimenez DH 4. J. Abreu 1B 5. L. Robert CF 6. A. Vaughn LF 7. Y. Grandal C 8. A. Engel RF 9. D. Mendick 2B SP L.Lynn So looking at this lineup the one spot I would like to see upgraded is 2B. I'm ok with Engel in RF because defense is so important in the playoffs. There are enough bats in that lineup. You add a Frazier or an Escobar in the 2B spot in that lineup and you have a team that has a legit shot at getting to the WS.
  11. Keep Vaughn in left. Don't start moving him all around. He has become a more than adequate leftfielder. And he is just going to keep getting better at the plate the more at bats he gets.
  12. I admit that Cease frustrates the crap out of me sometimes with his control issues. I just want to see him consistently pitch in to the 6th or 7th inning. He is young. Hopefully that will come.
  13. Cease won't go past 5 innings again tonight.
  14. Never f with crazy. Be it a woman or a man. You will never win and it will only end badly. Gio should of just said next question when asked about Donaldson's actions. I know it is hard not to respond but you will never win vs crazy.
  15. So does Donaldson get drilled tonight?
  16. This team is dead in the water right now. Nobody is hitting. The pitching is starting to show cracks in the armor. You look at the bottom four in this lineup tonight and you have absolutely no threat offensively whatsoever. The Sox have to be buyers by the deadline. They need a couple more bats and a strong middle reliever.
  17. The Sox are going to have to make some big moves before the deadline to try to save this season. They are going to have to give up something to get something. Hahn is going to have to make some very big decisions coming up.
  18. If they give this lead right back it will be really demoralizing.
  19. This team is dead in the water right now. No energy at all.
  20. Engel needs to be shut down for the rest of the first half of the season. This team is going to have to scratch and claw to stay on top of the division until these injured players get back in August.
  21. Starting Monday the umps are going to start inspecting. Look for a lot of pitchers to start struggling.
  22. Not a bad thing that the Astro's are exposing the Sox in this series. It just shows Hahn he needs to go out and get the two or three missing pieces this team still needs.
  23. I expect the Astros to sweep now
