  1. Get to the game however you can. You may never get another chance.
  2. I wanted to be there so badly last night but my health issue just doesn't let me get to games easily anymore. But watching it from home I was so proud of the Sox fans who showed up loud and proud! We have always been the underdogs and get such an unfair bad rap from other fan bases. But the truth is Sox fans are just as loyal as any fan base in MLB. And last night the whole country saw that first hand. The park sounded electric. I just knew this team had too much heart to get swept. And I'm thrilled the faithful Sox fans get at least one more home playoff game to experience.
  3. Can't be afraid to face McCullers tomorrow. Your going to have to beat him to advance no matter what day he pitches. If I'm a Sox player I would really want another shot at him anyway. It's called being a competitor. The extra time off helps the Sox in that it makes both Bummer and Tepera available. You also have Lynn who could throw an inning or maybe two. Hopefully not too many fans are negatively affected by the cancellation and the place is still packed and loud tomorrow because that really gave the team a boost last night.
  4. Tough call on the rain today. Hopefully the Rate is packed again. TLR and the players all said the crowd really helped them. Everyone other than Gio has to be available today. Got to get to that 5th game any way possible and then anything can happen.
  5. Has this ever been answered? Why does Dusty where gloves and all those wristbands? Is he OCD?
  6. The Sox can't manage or play thinking about tomorrow. All that matters now is winning tonight. It will be the same thing tomorrow if they get there.
  7. Tepera and Bummer potentially have kept hope alive for the Sox. Outstanding job by both.
  8. Tomorrows game could have rain issues.
  9. I just have to say whatever happens tonight White Sox fans showed up and showed out tonight BIG TIME!
  10. Sox will have to score at least 6 runs tonight to win. TLR can't go long with Cease if he starts walking guys. The bats will have to win this one tonight.
  11. Sox are just not a mentally strong team. They don't battle every at bat like you have to do in the playoffs. There is a very disturbing lackadaisicalness to their play.
  12. The Astros play like they expect to win, the Sox play like they hope to win. Going to have to put up 5 or 6 runs to win today.
  13. This is the game the Sox show if they are contenders or pretenders.
  14. I was really afraid of the game playing out this way. The Sox have played just like they have the whole second half. The fing Astros look like a team expecting to win this in 3 straight. It's a must win tomorrow. We will see what this team is really made of.
  15. How TA goes this team goes. I would love to see him really make McCullers work in his first at bat. Set the tone.
  16. I agree. I hope the Sox game plan today is to really work the count. Lay off his best pitches and hit his mistakes. Every base runner is at a premium in these playoff games. A walk is as good as a hit is never more true than in these games.
  17. Yes he has owned them twice this year. So hopefully they take a different approach to hitting him today.
  18. Playoff baseball. Pitching, defense, play for a run at a time. Make McCullers throw strikes, hit his mistakes. Hopefully the young guys are ready for the moment. Remember last years playoffs there were no fans. This place is going to be nuts today.
  19. This line up is called were playing to win.
  20. Scherzer about to hit 100 pitches here in the 5th. if he get's through this inning it will probably be his last.
  21. Jose has another night to rest and get fluids and electrolytes I think he will be able to at least DH. Remember he is a professional athlete in better shape than us average joes so he should be able to bounce back from the flu bug pretty well.
  22. Will the Managers and select players be holding press conferences today?
  23. They are the favorites. They have the first two at home. They really need to win those first two with as well as the Sox play at home. The Sox only need a split in the first two. And if they can win game one then the pressure really is on the Stros to win game two. Pressure like that can do strange things to a team. Which team, which players can perform the best now with the lights the brightest. I thought the Sox really felt that pressure in last years playoffs. Hopefully this year they are more relaxed and play up to their talent.
  24. These are the kind of at bats we need to see in the playoffs
