Something has to be done to shake this team up. It's not just the total lack of hitting it's the lack of any change whatsoever in their approach to hitting. No one is even attempting to work the count, or shorten their swing, or maybe try hitting the opposite way. It's just doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Which I do believe is the definition of insanity. The team is at or near the bottom of every offensive statistic. 5 of the 9 starters today are hitting sub .200. The only reason your not 10 or more games out of first is because you are in the worst division in baseball.

They most definitely do but they won't be because the owner is more incompetent than they are.

Take a look at the Twins schedule the rest of this month. They have a combined 16 games against Oak, KC, and Detroit.

I have been down on Dallas as much as anyone but credit where credit is due tonight. He shut them down and gave the Sox a chance. Great to see the team really compete tonight especially in that bottom of the 9th. Let's get this split!

The Sox have to win the Central to make the playoffs. There isn't any WC coming out of the Central. They are going to have to make some changes soon as far as Abreau and the log jam of DH's on the team as well as upgrading 2B somehow. If Lynn comes back strong and the rest of the starters stay healthy they should at least be in the hunt to win the division. At this point that is all you can hope for. Just make the playoffs and see what happens.

You put Sheets at 1B and move Jose to DH permanently! Sheets is the only LH power on the team, hell he is the only power period right now. He is not an OF! I don't care if Jose doesn't like it. Something has to start being done to shake up this team.

This team is only competing to win the worst division in baseball. That is their ceiling. That is reality.

If Judge and Stanton stay healthy all season, and that's a big if, the Yankees will win over 100 games.

You almost have to leave VV out there to somewhat save the bullpen for Sat and Sun. So far this series is showing how far away the Sox are from seriously contending.

It looks like what is going to happen these next 4 games is that the Yankees are going to show the Sox front office, TLR, and Sox fans just how far away from being a legit contender this team is. You see tonight that even if the Sox somehow win the trash Central they have no chance beating whoever comes out of the East.

This Yankee team can mash.

Really looking forward to this series. Let's hope the Sox can make it exciting in a good way.

I will get crucified for this I'm sure but I would trade Eloy after he is back. He is just basically a DH on a team full of them. Someone has to go. He isn't an outfielder. He can't play 1B can he? You have Sheets who can DH and play 1B. You have Vaughn who can DH, play 1B and play the outfield as least as well as Eloy.
