It is obvious that if this team is going to go anywhere this shortened season it will be because of their hitting. They are painfully lacking in starting pitching and at least an arm short in the bullpen and it's too late now to address either of those things these last 4 weeks.

He has a high pitch count first inning yet again.

All it takes at this point is one 5 or 6 game losing streak and your fighting for that last playoff spot. The Sox right now look like a team that could easily lose 5 or 6 in a row. I don't see any urgency from either management or the players.

The Sox better start showing some urgency or they could find themselves out of the playoffs real quick.

Ok enough is enough with Lopez. What are they not seeing? He is not a pitcher at this level. He throws mid 90's with no movement. He has no control. He is a head case on the mound. At this point almost anyone else will give you at least what he is.

You can't have a black hole at DH which is what EE is right now. Bring up Vaughn or have McCann and Grandal take turns. Tonight the Sox ran out 3 guys who can't or aren't hitting a lick. That is 1/3 of your order. That is ridiculous.

Sox have to do something at the DH position. You simply have to get much better production from that spot then EE is giving you.

Team is in a funk and getting a Twins team that has lost 5 in a row. Not a good thing at all.

Barring a huge collapse the Sox will make the playoffs this year with what they have. They don't need another piece to make it. Don't mortgage away any of the young talent. This coming off season is where you go after those couple pieces this team is lacking.

Give this team a ton of credit for battling today.
