This team is going to FAFO if they don't pull their heads out of their asses on offense. I could accept a dud performance, but this has been an amalgamation of a lot of the same crap that's been happening on offense for weeks now. So many players need to pull their heads out of their asses and start playing like they want to fucking be here. It's not enough to just have a great inning here or a good offensive game there. It means nothing if you go in the hole for the rest of the week. Get it together...

I cannot emphasize how disappointed I have been with the lead hitters on this team. They've all been massive let downs lately. Vargas, Mune, Colson, you all need to seriously have a reality check. The s%*# that's been going on the past few weeks is just inexcusable.

If they don't challenge I swear to effing god...

To best one of the best in league history, you can't hate huge stretches where you are basically averaging a home run every 10-11 games.

Since the break, he has 3 homeruns in 32 games. It's a valid complaint right now, because he's not delivering with homers as of late. It was tolerable pre-ASB because the dude had 23 homers in the first 95 games. Basically a homer every 4 games, rather than one every 11.

It's also immensely frustrating watching another pitching gem go unrewarded because this offense sat on a stick. They didn't even try today.

Doesn't help that the Braves just got swept by the Twins. They had zero issue maneuvering around this pitching staff. But today, the Sox have no answers whatsoever. The issue for me is that some of that has been entirely avoidable, if this team actually used some semblance of plate discipline and knew when and how to challenge. The when and how to challenge has been a BIG problem lately.

You're pretty generous calling the performances at Wrigley on offense "good". Scoring 3 runs in 2 games against a team with immense firepower like the Cubs is definitely not good. And they left a ton of RISP and made a lot of very questioning decisions at the plate that cost them. They were fortunate in Game 3 that it didn't bite them because Urquidy absolutely cooked. I'd say it was a mediocre performance at best.

It's so damn frustrating watching this team lately. Seems like they are NEVER on the same page. If the offense is humming, the pitching goes to absolute s%*#. Then the pitching becomes excellent just for the offense to go into a hole and die.

Smith is pitching a great game, and it's all for naught because this offense is playing like they jammed a crayon up their nose before the first inning.

We have to be the stupidest team in the league right now. Just next level morons at the plate seemingly over the past 2 weeks.

Offense needs to wake up at some point. Feast or famine, but it's been way more famine and not enough feast as of late.

Crosstown series tied. I will allow this. Absolute gem performance from Ur-K-dy. Unexpected, but more than welcome.
