My opinion is nobody is going to give Machado at 33 years old a $150 mil deal for 4 years. That would be insane. Nobody knows what the “highest” bid is right now. It’s all opinions.

I just don’t see why Machado and his agent would only want a 7 year deal? If there are no opt outs he’ll be 32-33. What kind of deal is he really looking at after that?

What I’ve read about Jay and Alonso is they’re high character guys and come with very little baggage. Who knows if that could have an influence or not on Machado?
