It has been said by numerous people that he won’t sign with the Sox for various reasons.

There’s no anger. If my point didn’t come across as these pitches don’t mean anything, then I am saying “ these pitches don’t mean anything.” The money talks. That’s it.

Do you really think putting his name up at the United Center and sticking a jersey on a statue of Michael Jordan means anything to these guys? If you want Harper on the Sox then pay him what he wants. Harper sits down at the table with Reinsdorf, Williams, and Hahn and says to them, “ you know my BFF plays for the Cubs, right?” Hahn response back is, “ but did you see your jersey on the Jordan statue, and name at the United Center?” Big f* cking deal. Give him the cash!

The reason everyone is saying there’s 0% chance he won’t sign with the Sox is because of the $$$ or he doesn’t want to be on a rebuilding team. “Recruiting” is complete nonsense.

These “pitches” are lame as f*ck. Throw $350 million at him and you don’t need a “pitch.”

What did the Sox have to do with this if it’s at the United Center? Is it because he had a Bulls hat on, so the people at the United Center decided this would be a good idea?

I don’t understand Fegan reporting this. Everyone knows why he wasn’t called up this year, and everyone knows why it will be after April 15 when he’s called up next year. Hahn’s 2 cents on Jimenez now are worthless.

My feeling is he won’t be out there every game. I have a feeling he’ll be a liability in left. Hopefully I’m wrong.

If Cleveland is selling then that is more reason why we go all in on Harper and Machado. Abreu and Jimenez can easily solidify the DH spot in 2019.

Are you talking pitching out of the free agents right now? I’m not sold on giving any starters in free agency “big-time” $$$. Adding two all-stars solidifying 2 positions in their “prime” years on a team with second lowest payroll is what we should all want. Adding Jimenez with Harper and Machado is going to be a nice 2,3,4 or 3,4,5. Then filling in the gaps with the kids coming up or trading them to fill the other roster spots is what I envision.

What would be the point of signing just Machado or Harper? If you wanted a “superstar” at one position and garbage around him we should’ve kept Sale. A hell of a lot cheaper than 1 of these 2. If the plan isn’t to land both of these guys than scrap this idea. We don’t need a $30 million dollar player to suck 4 games less than we do now.

If they actually paid any attention to his last start that would’ve been a great question to get Kopech’s take on the whole situation. It would’ve been worth listening too.

Did he say anything about hitting the guy who bunted off him.

The Sox have been such a terrible team this year that it’s hard to believe 2 other teams have been worse. It’s really going to be disappointing if 2 more teams drop them to 5.

No update on Cease? The level of concern from the crowd seems to be minimal. Thought for sure more panic would’ve set in by now.

Such a waste on this team. If a team calls Hahn this off season interested in Abreu I hope he listens.

Unfortunately Shields

The Rodon situation is a lot harder to navigate than Sale. We couldn’t build a winning environment around a top 5 pitcher in the game, so he gets traded. Nobody knows what Rodon is yet due to his injuries. If he’s injury free the rest of this year and next is he a top 10 pitcher? If he’s a top 10 pitcher do we maximize his trade value if the team is still garbage? Boras is going to get Rodon paid if he reaches top 10 status, and nobody has faith we’ll be the team giving him that deal. To me, I hope Rodon stays healthy and reaches his ceiling the rest of the year and next so we can maximize his trade value. Then trade him at his peak. The return should be just as good as Q’s return.

Clemens was an unlikable dbag. I want to like Kopech.

Don’t forget being a juicer. Too bad Clemens is his comp. I’d be happier if we could compare him to Scherzer.
