Texas prep 3B Brett Baty is the cut-rate option, but appears to be a long shot. Particularly if they can cut here, the White Sox are looking to float an overpay prep arm to their second pick, but that may be tough sledding. Who is the prep arm they would be interested in?

What is percentage of being able to make a deal with Houston for Yordan Alvarez before tomorrow’s draft? Then we can eliminate Vaughn from the discussion at #3 for good.

Not giving updates on players seems to be the Sox way of doing things. Didn’t hear anything for awhile on Hansen or Puckett last year. Dunning gets surgery first then we hear about if afterward. Has anyone been watching Vaughn lately? With him being the best hitter on the team I wonder if he’s swinging at bad pitches because he doesn’t want to take the walks. Is he trying to do too much, or completely getting blown away?
