Oh, I forgot about Hayes coming back. I was thinking that if they DFA Acuna, that they could bring up Jacob Gonzales. Have you all noticed what he's been doing down in Charlotte. He's up to 15 home runs with an OPS of 1.065 (all his batting numbers are nuts). That's some crazy stuff; it seems like he has to come up soon, but where and for whom?

Okay Burke, this is where we're at after that complete crap game you pitched against the Cubs. If you pitch a good game today, we're gonna be thinking, "Oh great. You can pitch a good game now in Seattle, but against the Cubs you have to suck it up? What's up with that? Huh . . . asshole." If you pitch a bad game, it's gonna be, "Oh great, another stinky game, just like against the Cubs. Nice job . . . asshole". Bottom line here: It takes a while for us to forgive poor performances against the Cubs.

I would bet 1st time Antonicci gets a chance to run into an infielder, he is gonna do it and continue to do it every chance he gets. Like when he gets hit when he can, he has now found another way to bend the rules in his favor.

This Josh Naylor thing with how he is continually able to kill Sox pitching makes no sense, none. The law of percentages indicates that his hitting like he does against the Sox should be WAAAY over by now, or at the least, start to tail off. But it never does; he just keeps killing whoever is pitching for the Sox and he’s been doing it over the last few years. There has to some sort of hellspawn curse that allows Naylor to hit Sox pitching like he does. Maybe Vasil should use his magic wand and do an “Arvada Ka-asshola” spell for Naylor and break his evil spell over Sox pitching.

The over/ under for Teel has now moved from June 1 to July 1. With it now being July 1, I still feel confident taking the over.

When do the Sox go north and play the Cubs. I don’t see any reason the Sox can’t hit a bunch of homers at Wrigley and win that series too.

That and . . . . the 1st base umpire correctly ruled that Bergman swung thru on that one pitch, and the inning starts with a strikeout, like it should have.

Did you all hear what they said about Teel tweaking his knee last night. When we saw him pull it at the WBC, did anybody think the White Sox would not have Teel until, at least, June? Because that’s where we’re at.

I don’t care about Kelenic’s worthless home run last night long after the game was over. Again like last night, he struck out with a guy on 2nd and didn’t get him to 3rd. That was a huge play last night. Cost Sox a run last night, and now again tonight. He HAS to put the ball in play and move that runner.

How is this taking so long? Are they flying in another umpire?? Oh wait, finally.

I’m the opposite. I liked the black but love the red. Also, when you see other teams’ city connect uniforms, don’t you appreciate the White Sox’s ones a lot more, either ones, black or red. Some of those out there are just horrible.

I agree with this. I really believe Teel was their best bat at the end of last year.

These are good points, plus if he becomes solid by next year, he’ll also have to compete with Brooks Baldwin and B. Montgomery. But still, with his speed, he could become the everyday Sox CF. I don’t think you can give up on him.

A great Sox win. But . . . Is it only me, or does it seem to anyone else that Witt Jr. somehow seems to come up to bat every damn inning? Every time a Royal is on base, it seems Witt is either up or on deck.

You mean similar to how Vargas ended his 1st season with the Sox with a batting average of something like .093? Seriously, Vargas’s average was something like that with the Sox in 2024. I understand my take is a stretch, but the idea that it’s impossible that Acuna can/ will improve and become a quality centerfielder for the Sox for years, thinking that he can’t improve with his athletic ability, you’re just being silly.

Kyle Teel hit a HR in 4 AB today in the 1st game of his rehab assignment in Charlotte. He will DH tomorrow for Charlotte. Guessing he could be back on May 29th at home against the Tigers barring any setbacks. If Teel is back for that Tigers series and he’s healthy, the Sox will have the better lineup and the better team. Period. The last 35 or so games of last season, Teel was the best bat in the Sox lineup, not Colson or anyone else. It is very possible, even with Colson, Mune, and Vargas, that the White Sox don’t have their best bat in the lineup yet.

I goofed up, I meant to quote the Vargas 1.7 war quote when talking about how he could be MVP. Oops!

One of the radio guys was speculating that Vargas, for so many reasons, could be the White Sox MVP so far this season. Then the other one brought up Davis Martin, and the 1st one agreed it had to be Martin.
