Yes because the Dodgers and giants were not actually in at a real number.

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
Lol are these posts serious? 13 years is just to take the payroll luxury tax number lower. 10 or 13 years, doesn't matter. It was the guaranteed dollars that mattered.

This makes it worse with the no opt outs. 13 years doesnt matter. 10 or 13 is all semantics. Anyone that believes the Dodgers offered 10 years now are smoking something good.

No he doesnt. Winning is all that matters in this game when it comes to generating revenue. Look at the rangers with a rod for proof. Or any other big contracts. They dont sell tickets unless the team is good.

Obviously they weren't a bargain Jack. It was the most money any team in MLB baseball was willing to give. That was the peak market for both

Lol at cheap. Largest contract in baseball history... Sox are cheap for not beating it? Please. Sox whouod have given manny 300 million - that's inexcusable. Being out on Harper was fine at that price

Sox didnt value Harper at 80 million more I'm guaranteed dollars than Manny. Even if they thought manny was worth 280-300, Harper wasnt worth more to them.

Lol at Dodgers offered 10 years.

Harper to Phillies 13yr/330 mil
No idea why anyone had hope. Sox made it very clear they were out on Harper.

The Sox are OUT on Bryce Harper. Not sure how many times it needs to be said. There is a 0% chance they sign him.

Biomechanics and UCL injuries
Yes, there is correlation but not proven causation. It's possible the release point moving is a symptom of an injury they are nursing which leads to TJS. I'll look for it today but pretty much every arm study for injury has concluded the same thing - these things are connected but A doesnt necessarily cause B.

Country is in a great place now. I'd love to be an educated kid there - their economy is on the way up with a lot of opportunities to make money. Good for him.

I've spent time around medillin and in the center mountains but havent hit up the coast and Cartagena. What an awesome country and beautiful place. Coming up fast too... only south American country really on the rise now. Most beautiful country in the world for my money.

That's a pretty big decision. Chinese as his first language is interesting. Good luck to you. That's a pretty huge culture shock I imagine.

My wife is Colombian. Actually colombian - not the fake caulfield definition of it. She's been here for 8 years. I prefer jajaja to hahaha. I credit my wife for that.

Biomechanics and UCL injuries
This was actually proven to likely be nonsense. Most mechanical pitching beliefs in regards to injuries are unfounded by studies. There are trends and correlation but no causation has been proven. Pitching is bad for you no matter how you do it. Throwing harder is even worse. "Perfect motions" have led to career ending injuries and "dangerous motions" have led to long careers without many issues (see Sale for this.) I'd argue sales 3/4 release is actually best on the arm but that's just my opinion. There are muscle and ligament strengthening exercises that appear to have significant impact on health - shoulder centered. The Sox were actually pioneers with their shoulder program which kept their arms statistically healthier for over a decade. There are not deliveries that have a significant impact though.

I'd take Cole but he seems risky.

Any team cares. If the Dodgers didnt care they wouldnt have tried so hard to get under it and reset their tax. Of course they care. Yes, I was wrong about San Diego. As were many others.

I'm ok. You can take your absurd PC police campaign to guilt someone else though. Was a joke nickname made for his dreadful days here. If you want to get offended by it then so be it.

Machado signs with Padres 10/300
Manny machado is a US citizen. He has a US passport. He has a US education. He entered the MLb via the AMERICAN AMATEUR draft. He did not sign for international pool money. He was not an international prospect. He is not FROM Latin America. Therefore he is not a Latin American prospect and never was. Glad I could clear that up. That'll be it from me.

Yeah, and Ike Davis and Ian Kinsler are Israeli-Americans based on that absurd WBC logic... yet they have never even been there. And what's his name who played for team Italy. Was it cervelli? I guess he's Italian and not American too because he didnt play for USA.
