  1. Fairly confident the standard lineup template to start will be Anderson Moncada Abreu Grandal EE Eloy Mazara Robert 2B
  2. Braves Twitter is legitimately hilarious
  3. Moncada is the only guy that really makes sense as a lead off guy from a numbers perspective, but you're right, he doesn't seem comfortable with it. So I'm content with putting the batting champ there to start. Have a feeling I'll be saying this a lot, but as long as Mazara and Garcia aren't batting in the top of the order on a regular basis I could not give less of a shit what the lineup looks like.

Huh, imagine that. Who could have foreseen this?
  5. I have a hard time believing the Padres are going to catch up with the Dodgers within two years. Especially not with paying 60 mil to negative win players.
  6. They have an awful lot of really, really, really bad money in that lineup. They need Tatis to be like a perennial 6-7 win player to have a chance.
  7. Pretty sure I know exactly what you're talking about, and I think it was just a bad picture. He looks fine in every other one.
  8. This just proves that White Sox fans all have cases of Terminally Online Brain
  9. Just put in the PTO for opening day. So I'm ready to skip right past this spring training thing.
  10. Sox are getting the benefit of facing 2 wildly hated teams and the Rockies
  11. I really think you're discounting the desire for taking his time to shake off rust and get confidence back before immediately throwing him into the fire. Yes, he's healthy but he hasn't had to mentally prepare to face the best competition in over a year. It's not like he pitched in the majors for a year(or even a month) and then got hurt.
  12. I hope they cease to exist
  13. Okay him too.
  14. They could put anyone leadoff not named Nomar Mazara and I'll be fine with it.
  15. Anything to get people off the Astros for five minutes
  16. Basabe is going to rebound big. 90% sure his struggles were hamate related.
  17. Go look at a batting average to exit velo chart
  18. "Yoan Moncada didn't deserve a tenth place vote and Fegan is a hack" Phil Rogers??
  19. And will be having his spring training on the fly. That's the point.
  20. mqr replied to flavum's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Because he never takes his windbreaker off
  21. Gio is Gio. Other Gio is Gonzalez or Gonzo. This is the way.
  22. People can think whatever they want, the Astros haven't earned the benefit of the doubt. It's just wrong to assume a dip in numbers is some gotcha moment. It's possible they cheated they're balls off and their numbers go up anyway when the cheating is taken away. A dip in numbers doesn't damn them, just as much as numbers staying flat don't absolve them.
  23. It won't 'confirm' anything. People will treat it as hard evidence. But it's not.
  24. Wild to see how far he's come not just as a player but as a person. It wasn't that long ago that you'd never hear the guy say a word.
