This team is like some weird avant-garde piece of music. Constantly seeming like it's going to completely fall apart before finding a groove then going back to nearly falling apart at the seams. Like a middle of the road Lou Reed song.

Herrerra and Nova were real bad adds. And you'll never get me to even acknowledge the baseball merits/demerits of Jay and Alonso because they're irrelevant.

Alcides Escobar might actually be a better use of roster spot than Palka

Assuming Kopech comes back well enough, getting 3/5 starters, one of which looks like a legit TOR, out of all this is definitely not a bad result. Always thought people expecting a fully home grown rotation where asking for way too much even when it looked like the had all the arms in the world.

Wasn't that always Theo's weakness in Boston as well?

More or less what I expected on the whole, however, I did not see that change up coming. Heavens to betsy.

You would have quite the squad with the talent the cubs have traded away. It's pretty remarkable.

It's also why you have take the good with the bad with TA. Edit: Also, this lead me to revisit Anderson's metrics and I knew he was rangey, but he led baseball in OOZ plays last year. wtf

Not hard to see why going more than 5 has been a struggle even when the numbers were good.

Super weird that he can do whatever he wants with the breaking stuff, but struggles with the gas.
