  1. That change the ump missed looks like it fooled grandal
  2. I’d be lying if Jason didn’t just make me tear up a little
  3. Would love to be wrong here, but Berrios is a nightmare for what we've been led to believe are Robert's weakspots Anyway, as it stands, everyone hitting in front of him, except maybe Anderson, is a pretty safe bet to out perform Luis. The could change in two weeks, but it might not, so 7 is fine for now.
  4. Mendick's back to back errors the other day probably didn't help
  5. I don't think there's a way you could arrange that lineup, assuming those last two guys are always behind the first seven, that's worth getting worked up about.
  6. In this case it was. The test Soto got back today was from Tuesday. It's been 4 days since the last time he tested negative. They expect today's results Saturday morning. Playing tonight is a huuuuuuuuge gamble
  7. I am when they were playing games after giving a positive test, this whole thing is completely untenable if that's the case.
  8. Idk how you get around postponing the nationals and the orioles games until tests come back
  9. The rest of the team tested negative two days ago, when he tested positive. We’re just getting those results now.
  10. He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation on why he doesn’t want to play. His teammates and boss maybe. Certainly not you or me. He said he’s not comfortable ramping up in a couple weeks, there’s zero reason not to leave it at that.
  11. This thread is getting into some seriously weird territory. None of these guys opting out owe anyone shit
  12. They're having all kinds of issues with getting results back though. The Cubs just cancelled camp today, and i'm not even sure the A's have started yet
  13. I think the players bail at that point, is what I was getting at. Already a lot of rumblings of what the hell are we doing here, really? from players
  14. Once someone gets really sick, and someone will, it’s over.
  15. Well no, but it was lucky that it was the second test that was a false negative and not the first.
  16. doesn’t bode well for anyone that this sort of thing is happening also
  17. This is already a complete mess
  18. That's probably curtains for Zimm, no?
  19. Right, but you figure at some point, with positive tests, that rosters will look like a September roster and be talent will be pretty diluted.
  20. it's more that i'm not okay with any of it and the handling of this entire thing should be a national embarrassment, and now it's gotten to the point where some people do need to go back to work to prevent total collapse, and some things do not need to resume.
  21. The Nicky Delmonicos of the world have much more in common with any of us than they do with top end players.
  22. The ability to evaluate performance is going to be close to zero no?
