  1. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 06:53 AM) NO family health problems he flat out QUIT! No, he was looking out for his son because the new president didn't guarantee him anything. I would of done the same thing for my own son. Very loyal man, whether you like him or not.
  2. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 07:43 PM) Knight is a quitter, why would he leave in Febuary instead of April? His non deserving son has been promised the job anyway so what is the rush. Come on man, you have to believe there is more to the story. I guarantee it is something to do with him or his wifes health. This mans nature does not involve quitting.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 1, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) IU might have some problems the rest of the year. They can lie about it and deny it all they want, but Gordon has a hairline fracture in his left wrist and it's going to limit his driving ability and thus, ability to get to the free throw line for the rest of the season, and that's a big part of IU's game. Oh no doubt. I don't think any fan will lie about it. He normally gets to the line at will with his penetration and it just was not there last night. We will see what comes of this as the season goes on.
  4. This really has been the worst span of days ever for me. IU loses to Uconn.... Lose all my valuables in the Indiana State Dorm fire of the 11th floor.... Speeding ticket today.... now IU losing to a bunch of white guys... what the f*** god
  5. Kentucky will always be one of our top 2 rivalries. Clash of traditions.
  6. I'm with Rex on this one. I still rooted for ILL against PU today big time. I do not dislike any Illini players, so I can't really call it a big rivalry. Now on the other hand, I can't stand anyone on Purdue nor anyone associated with them. Thats a rivalry.
  7. Illinois is so freaking bad. I almost want to feel bad... Wait, no I don't. Its really quite comical how one team can struggle this bad with free throws. Couldn't have happened to a nicer coach and fan base.
  8. IU played a terrible, terrible game, but the good guys won and thats all that matters. Thank you Bassett.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) Gordon whines more than Pruitt when a call goes against him. Didn't think that was possible. Are you serious? Gordon is not known to show much emotion at all. He's a teenager though, it does come out sometimes.
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) Jesus Christ Hoosiers, someone might want to get on Justin Johnson. Did you see the shots he was taking? Pulling s*** out of his ass. 5 straight threes in a minute. Wow, what a display, glad to get the W though.
  11. Indiana playing terrible vs Iowa. At least Ellis has come to play.
  12. WOW Illinois. I cannot wait until January 13th. I L L - N I T
  13. As much as a big ten homer I am, 40 times mean very little when it comes to performance speed times on the field. As much as I would like to see OSU win, I really do not think they have a chance in hell.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 21, 2007 -> 07:46 PM) Just a thought here. Last year, Illinois was coming off a 2-10 season, and a lot of people said their #20 recruiting class in the nation had to be at least somewhat a byproduct of cheating. This year, Notre Dame goes 3-9, has the consensus #1 recruiting class in the nation, and nobody says a word. I know it's different situations, but still a sign of typical media hypocrisy. Oh, and one of the Kentucky beat writers says Legion to Illinois is official. We'll see if/when this is confirmed by the school, but I'm not surprised, he'll have a chance to play 40 minutes a game in Champaign. Well none of the ND recruits probably saw this type of season coming, but when Illinois kept losing over the years, it looked fishy. I like Zook though and believe he's doing it the right way.
  15. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 21, 2007 -> 01:51 PM) agreed. a guy like jamar is exactly what they need here, but rightfully he is not a part of this year's group. i know the conventional wisdom here has been that jamar got off easy, which i think is laughable. when all is said and done he'll have served a year-and-a-half suspension in addition to jail time. plenty of players who've gotten dui's have gotten off with much, much less. certainly there are other elements of case that warranted a more severe penalty, but i don't get the claim that his penalty is not severe. in terms of frazier, he just is what he is. he reminds me of randle in the sense that he does good things and you expect more, but you never really get it. Laughable? He left his own teammate to die....
  16. Illinois is terrible, and I praise the Lord that Duke lost. I cannot stand Paulus, Scheyerface, and Singler! And fathom you are correct, GUS is the MAN!
  17. IU looked damn good for not having their best player and their floor general.
  18. Gordon now listed as doubtful for the game today and Bassett is also now suspended for some reason! WHAT THE HELL!?
  19. Does Weber not realize he has marker all over his face. Good thing he is on national TV.
  20. I'm one of the biggest homers there is, but I'm not going to guarantee a title. Now do we have a chance? Certainly. I think if everything comes together by March, which is definitely possible, we could be a very tough team to beat with the depth we will have at the guard position. Now heres to us beating the s*** out of the pussycats this weekend!
  21. I heard if you don't use it, you lose it.
  22. Glad some of the Illinois fans over on Illiniboard can take joy out of Gordon's injury. At least some of them have some decency though. Sloppy game tonight. Lets hope we absolutely smash UK this Saturday!
  23. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 24, 2007 -> 11:46 PM) Just got back from the game. IU as you said just had a miserable shooting night, nothing would fall. The defense and rebounding were terrible by IU though, that's what they really need to work on. You're going to have shooting nights like that every now and than but defense and rebounding should be a constant. Xavier is a really good team though and they were just the much better team out there tonight. I made the trip up to Chicago for the game too. UGLY game by the Hoosiers. Some of Xaviers players seemed to be thugs though after trying to pick fights with DJ, then the one trying to mess with Gordon was just an idiot. They were up by 10 late in the game, why rub it in. I hope we get them in the tourney.
  24. With Mike Davis we would of lost that game. Luckily, we have CKS and he knows how to make adjustments. Also a good thing we have #23, who if you did not see, about brought down the rim and backboard tonight. WOW
