  1. God I hate Hansbrough. He dosn't deserve to have the same first name as me.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) It's amazing the crap that Hansbrough gets away with. Yea I don't get the love for this guy, sure hes pretty good but they are always all over his knob about how tough he is. Plus his damn lip hangs down to his knee and that just bothers me.
  3. Anyone else think Gtown is just getting screwed with all these fouls called? wow
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 25, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) Florida is toast now that they aren't in that ridiculously easy bracket. They are fortunate that only half of the Oregon guards showed up, and that Humphrey and Green shot it that well. Ah well, this was my upset region anyways. No fun to pick all chalk. UCLA gets their shot at revenge now, and I like their chances now that Afflalo woke up and that they beat a team better than Florida last game. Yea the defending national champs are toast. They only have every starter back and thats just not what it takes to win.
  5. I saw Gordon play last night and I came away even more impressed than when I saw him versus Franklin Central. The refs allowed this game to be very very physical and EC took advantage of that and they were all over Gordon. NC just did not have another inside presence besides Hodzic and I think that really cost them as Garcia, their wide body man (name escapes me), and Moore just penetrated and got rebounds at will it seemed. Gordon's ability to know where everyone on the court is at all times is just astonishing. His range was in full effect last night too as he was pulling up from the "Conseco Fieldhouse" writing on the court and letting it rain. I also do not think I have ever seen a quicker first step in quite some time. He just blows past the opponent. Conseco was also packed as the box office was sold out 5 hours before gametime when I got there so I had to pay $30 on the street to get tickets. EC also had a MUCH MUCH bigger crowd than North Central oddly enough. Can't wait for next season!
  6. Wow I just love the way the Salukies play. COME ON SIU!!!!!
  7. I've heard that Keeling wants out, but who really knows.
  8. 13/16, 8/8... thank god i got out of that alive.
  9. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 02:35 PM) I did the same dont feel bad. I kept hearing all the good things from my cousin bout Tech so I switched. Yea I read an article about GT and how Hewitt said their freshman were playing at another level. Well Hewitt, you lied to me.
  10. I'm really pissed I changed my UNLV to the sweet sixteen to GT. DAMNIT
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 08:48 AM) I'll be there Saturday night for sure. Maybe I'll see you two there, because I won't miss that for the world. If I recall, last time he faced East Chicago he put up 50 points. I'm sure watching this kid eases the loss from last night, because it sure does for me.
  12. Indiana showed a lot of heart in the end but just didn't have the firepower in the beginning to take it. Thanks Rod and Earl, been a helluva year for a projected bottom of the Big Ten finish. Now its time for some serious work over the offseason to become the national title contenders we should be!
  13. This is the defensive battle from hell. EVERY shot contested.
  14. I don't know who the announcer is in this Butler game but he's not too smart. He's like, you like that move called Hoosiers? These are the guys. Moron
  15. IU's guards are lighting it up so far. Makes me even more anxious to see Gordon and Ratliff playing on the same team again!
  16. Damn, Eagles lucky to down only 12..... Need to pick it up James!!!!
  17. I wish man, but I'm going to be at ISU. I'm going to try to get over to every home game though because its not to far from Terre Haute. Hook me up with some student tickets if your ever out of town!
  18. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) I initially was going to put Old Dominion through to the sweet 16, but switched it around and got Butler going that far now. Still might change it again though, so it's not really set in stone yet. I got Marquette knocking off MSU in round 1. Didn't want to do it, but I'm basing it on the fact that MSU really had a rather poor year by their standards. Generally they do better then an 8-8 conference record. Count me in on the Albany bandwagon too. Having came close last year with UConn, they've likely learned from that and could be poised to finish the job this time around. Picked them to go to the sweet 16, upsetting Tennessee to get there. I got VCU over Duke as well. As MSU did, Duke had a very un-Duke like year. They play the way they did at times during the season and they will get knocked off early. I got Penn going all the way to the elite eight, knocking off Stanford and Memphis along the way. George Washington I have sweet 16 bound, though I don't know if that would be such a big surprise if it happened. Got Miami Ohio knocking off Oregon as well as Notre Dame, and then the other biggie I got is Kansas falling to Nova in round 2. EDIT: Almost forgot about this but I got Southern Illnois in the final four. That's somewhat of an upset I suppose. Thats a lot of upsets!
  19. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 12, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) Jamarcus Ellis is a borderline/mediocre 3-star? Scout has him listed as a top 25 player this year (they include junior college players in their rankings) and another Juco site has him the #1 Juco in the land. I'm sure if Illinois had grabbed McGee, he wouldn't be classified as a mediocre 3-star by you. Holman should be a "very good" Big 10 player as well. I'd say the Crawford may be the only fringe guy in the group and even Scout has him as No. 100 and he's their "worst" recruit. Also, they already have two 4-stars committed for 2008. And one of them, Bud Mackey, could be a top 30 player (currently 48 on rivals after being unranked) after this summer. Also as far as Sampson's history for recruiting lower tier players, he had the No. 1 class coming to Oklahoma last year before it broke apart when he left. Class had Damien James and Scottie Reynolds among others, I believe. He might have had to settle for lower tier recruits at Oklahoma, but he picked it up towards the end and he won't have to settle for mediocre recruits at IU. Now in no way is this an attack on Illinois, I clearly didn't say a word about them in this post, but you need to give credit as far as recruiting goes, where credit is due. Right on. I keep hearing more and more good things about Holman too and how he is tearing it up. Cannot wait for next year.
  20. I had UNLV upsetting Wisconsin then I decided against UNLV and went with GT all the way to the Sweet 16. God I dont know what to do. I suppose I'll just listen to Paul Hewitt and hope his freshman are playing as well as he says they are.
  21. Alright so I just got back from Hinkle Fieldhouse to watch Gordon play and I have come to conclusion that if he does not bring IU basketball back, no one can. This guy is just flat out sick, like I want to throw up hes that freaking sick. I have never seen such range and slashing ability at the high school level. Think Roderick Wilmont range and add a few more feet to that and more accuracy. The kid is flat out dominant and seems to break 10 ankles everytime he gets the ball in his hands.
